Great app

Please continue to keep app on the App Store if it happens to ever get taken off App Store you should run from a website too maybe goto the sTORe and get some onions with it 👍

Constant session updates

This is a half baked version of signal. The idea of no phone number is great, but please stop the session updates messages every few minutes. How many times would you like me to read the same articles. With the link from within the app, is this a way to expose the user’s ip address ? No voice or video chat. Being a fork of signal, why not include that functionality and add some ?
Thank you for the feedback. What I do like so far is the clean user interface. I will continue to use the app and as things improve I will keep updating my feedback. Hopefully it can get to 5 stars soon.

Thanks for the feedback. There are some known issues with the Session Updates channel being automatically re-added after deletion. The article links themselves do pose a potential anonymity issue; clicking a link within the app can expose your IP address to web servers which you access. We're planning to remove those update feeds soon to mitigate both these issues. With regards to voice and video chat, we are planning to implement encrypted voice and video calling, but this will take some time to implement due to Session's complex decentralised onion routing protocol.

Session is the only messaging app that truly takes privacy to heart - by building out a decentralized network of incentivised nodes to run the backbone of Session. Nothing else is close.

The first multi platform decentralized messenger

Coming from wickr. Been waiting for a messenger like this. Perfect use case of blockchain nodes and you don’t even need to know anything about it. Go Loki!

Excellent messaging app

I have had this app since the day it was released and have been very pleased, and impressed, with its performance. I ran into some minor issues with push notifications being delayed on the earliest versions, but these were quickly remedied with new updates.

This isn’t the most feature-rich messenger out there and the Session IDs may not be for everyone, but if you’re looking for a well-performing app that subverts the big tech companies harvesting your data, you won’t find better. I fully expect that with time it will only get better.

I’ve been a believer in the Loki project since it got started and am really impressed with this product running on the network. As others have said, this is surely the future of secure communication.

Surprisingly polished

One of the most polished first releases I’ve seen, with an intuitive UI and lots of small details done right... and that great feeling that nobody at a tech company gets to read your messages. 👌

Early accounts broken on update

Seems like there was a breaking change in app versions. An identity created on version 1.0.1 could connect with a identity created on 1.0.2 but then would be unable to reply as it still said pending requests. Reinstalling the app and creating a new identity fixed this

Love this!!

Super easy to get set up and use!! I have so much peace of mind that I can have conversations without greedy dataminers stealing my info! I had a few issues at first, but after an update and tech support help-- it's working awesome! Thanks so much!!
