Satisfied
Not only is this an amazing product, one of the greatest gifts to a producer or musician is product support. That to me is what makes the difference in deciding which software to go with. I appreciate the quick response to my situation and the benefits of Chomplr itself. Thank you.Save and share
The fact that you can’t save and share your projects makes this app obsolete. It’s like making food that you can’t eat.It was great until…
…I had to reinstall the app and now I can’t access any of my sound packs that I’ve purchased. I can’t find any way possible to restore my purchases within the app. If I’m missing something please let me know but this should be something way more obvious.
(Update…found it in tiny letters at the bottom of the store list. Very hard to locate)Show lessAlmost like KOALA for beginners… and it’s AMAZING
Using koala and Samplr stumbled upon Chomplr later on and almost wish I found it first… it eliminates the complication involved with other iOS apps with similar concepts so you can really just focus on making music and enjoying it… My only gripe is the sample library, yet amazing, isn’t inexpensive… paying a few dollars to sometimes get one or two samples seems a bit minimal when other apps usual sell massive preset packs for that price… but the import your own sample feature makes this app 100% worth it… and the samples they do offer for sale are definitely optimized for usage in Chomplr to be used “right out of the box” with little to no tweaking needed… either way I plan on continuing to buy more of their samples and adding my own cuts… Koala is still my favorite sampler for features but for more of a free flow “fun” workflow Chomplr gets right to the point… Looking forward to what else comes out from the developer going forward…Show lessOk
Pls reverse my purchase on thisNo Way To Access Sound Packs Outside The App
Embedding sound packs in the app is a complete ripoff. Especially when the app itself is subpar. I foolishly purchased several sound packs before realizing there is no actual way to use the sound packs in any other interface. It is dumb that I cannot find a folder where all the samples I bought are in… because it doesn’t exist. What a pain it is to have to resample each purchased track to use in a more polished system. Again it is just dumb that I cannot take a sound file I purchased and use it in my octatrack without having to resample the whole
thing. This app was obviously designed to sell you sound packs which are actually legit but the app itself is a joke.Show lessSweet! UPDATE
It’s just so good!
Sounds great. Sample packs have tons of dirt for a few pennies. Very inspirational. Lots of applications to just about any musical genre. Well worth it!A bit rough
I love this plugin, but in Garageband at least it’s very glitchy. It loses trigger start and end points very frequently, completely destroying anything I’ve made with it. I don’t have the energy to think so hard as to fix it every time it breaks. There’s also a problem resulting in dropped triggers. It happens randomly. I’ve tried everything I can to get it working properly, including changing the buffer, restarting, reloading… everything. I wish this app was better executed because it has the potential to be amazing.Show less(UPDATE 2022) Just buy it
Sample import was added and opened up a whole new world in Chomplr. I’m still loving this app. The only other feature that would significantly improve this app would be the ability to save a project state. Unless you’re in a DAW you can’t save all of the in and out points you’ve made to a sample. It would be nice to open up a sample in Chomplr, create all your in and out key points, set your effects and then be able to come back to it later in the same place it was when you left. Any chance of this feature? Still worth more than they’re charging tho.

I’ve been following this company for a while and am nothing but impressed with their aesthetic and attention to detail. This app sounds amazing. What you can do with one short sample by assigning certain sections to keys and tweaking is a game changer. I know the tech has been out for a while but hasn’t been implemented into iOS in this way with such a diverse array of effects. I was pretty disappointed to see that I couldn’t import my own samples though 😕 If that feature gets added then this thing is unlimited in its scope. For now I’ll just tweak what is provided by MSXII and try to make it my own. Anyway if you were on the fence just do it, it’s only $5, what do you have to lose?Show lessIt’s Alright ⚠️
Complaints:
Limited Sample Imports
You’d think that Importing Samples would be a basic free feature that would come with this app, its not. It costs $2.99 and it doesn’t even let you import samples longer than 1 minute and 40 seconds.
Crashes
When you use the app by itself it usually crashes after about 30-40 mins in, but when used as a GarageBand plugin in then its fine.
Bugs
Theres a weird bug on iPhone, when you open up Key Settings the UI is out of place.
I also tried to delete a imported sample the way the manual said, but the option to delete was greyed out.

Wishlist:
Midi Learn
I hope they add Midi Learn so I could assign one of the knobs on my Midi keyboard to the data slider or for the effect sliders.
Zoom
Being able to zoom in on the waveform.
Save Chop Edits
I would like to be able to save the positions of the cuts of a sample within the app. It usually saves that within GarageBand, but I want that within this app alone.
Record Button
I would like a record button for when I find a groove.

Done right:
•Aesthetics
•Effects
•Sounds
The samples that already come with this app sound incredible. I love the aesthetic of the whole thing. The effects are cool.Show less
