Amazing !!!!!!
The developers have really out done themselves here. Amazing soundtrack. The vibrancy of the colors and vastness of the world, scenery and surrounding are just amazing... I played this with my Xbox one controller, very fluid. Story has a beginning middle and end, well written and executed. Puzzles are fun and a refreshing challenge for the brain.... please keep up the good work, 🤞fingers crossed you continue this as a series or have another amazing game like this, I was super happy with this game and so glued to it I binged it inside 2 days lol, many many hours of gameplay done in 2 days :) enjoy !!!!

Great game but I hate the story
I would give 5 star for the game design and the amazing graphics. However, I really hate how this story goes and I can’t change the ending of this game. I spend 8 hours to play this game. At first I thought I am going to save something or someone, but in the end I know am destroying everything. Joey didn’t do anything wrong. He still has that pure heart. All he ever wanted is to make Foster happy. I can’t believe Foster left Joey there alone for ten years. When Foster left the Overmann chair, he didn’t even turn his head to give another look at his so called “best friend” on the floor. The nature of human is to be selfish, without a powerful authority, Union City will soon fall into chaos and Foster just walked away from all the mess! The citizen of Union City don’t even know how to work, how would they survive in a desert? Foster is so arrogant and selfish! Joey’s sacrifice made me cry but it will be worthless.

Eye-opening
I’m not one to say they’re the biggest fan of mobile games. I downloaded this game looking for a fun, casual game to kill some extra time. This game was eye-opening. What I downloaded was not a time waster; it was an experience. The story, graphics, and gameplay is absolutely console-level and delightfully attention-demanding. The world feels alive, the characters have personality, and the story is appropriately gripping and fun. If this is the future of mobile gaming, please, sign me up. Best game, mobile or not, that I have played in the recent several years. I’ve found a new genre to explore, and I’m sure the journey experienced in this game would entice you too.

Unique game experience
Through imaginative story and decryption play like hacking scanner, this game always gives a sense of being in the open world although only a few scenes.
Great story, great gameplay, crashes a lot
Expect to have to redo sections regularly as the game crashes a lot before saving. But it is possible to complete it and it's worth the effort (though very frustrating).
Awesome fun
I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this game. Great mix of Aussie and international characters and the theme is based in the outback. Highly recommended.
Excellent sequel, couldnt be happier with it
As a big fan of the original, I was slightly dreading that the sequal wouldn’t be well done, and with the change in art/gameplay style I was nervous about that.
However as much as I love pixelated styles, this was great too, with a slightly comic/painted cell/rotoscope feel to the look. And it’s still a point n’ click, just from a 3rd person perspective.
The story and plot is great, it makes sense and fits well with the original.
The script and voice acting is fabulous. Great writing and delivery, also very much in keeping with the original game. Joey’s dialogue and delivery in particular - perfection! *chef’s kiss*
And I was thrilled with the Easter eggs and references to the OG. From the score to unexpected old friends returning.
It feels like a very lovingly crafted game. From the kid leaning back on the merrygoround to make it go faster, to the ample world-building additional dialogue options (none of which bored me, I explored everything I could, which I don’t always do when playing new games).
And there were no bugs or technical difficulties for me (iphone SE), it crashed once but the autosave meant I didnt lose any gameplay.
I’m really happy that some or several of the original creators were on board. This is a worthy successor to the original, and it was an excellent job done all round.

Response from developer
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments :-)
Amazing game
This is the best mobile game I’ve ever played. Looks and plays like a TellTale game tho I don’t think they were involved at all. It’s a point and click game but the controls are surprisingly good for a mobile game.
I didn't even know it was a sequel to Beneath a Steel Sky, because I never played that game. But this game has its own fully developed story that fills you in on pretty much the entire plot of the first game. It took me about 12 hours to finish the story. It’s a really compelling, well thought out plot, especially for a mobile game. This has to be the #1 selling point for Apple Arcade

Beautiful game frustrating bugs
An amazing and well written sequel to such a beloved game, but there are some frustrating bugs, sprites that don’t load and a game breaking bug that won’t let me progress to the gala. Straight after the cutscene where Foster and songbird talk and say let’s go to the gala, the games goes to load the next scene and crashes completely. Can’t progress past no matter how many times I’ve tried to reload it

Great game, but buggy
I’ve really enjoyed playing this, but I can not get out of the elevator at the aspiration gala. I’ve reloaded, and gone back to old saves multiple times over the past couple of weeks and no matter what, my movement controls just stop working when the doors open.
