Wish hadn’t spent the money!
Long story short we were initially mis-sold what the security was capable of. (We were told facial recognition to auto turn off alarms etc) nothing of the sought it’s all done manually! The app shows The door bell camera which has NEVER WORKED and a ring door bell we had prior to this was incredibly good! But this door bell came with the package and was installed same time and cameras. App shows Constant issues with connections on all cameras all the time and we’ve been paying for a system that is very very poor! I keep getting told from ADT and ADT engineers that apparently the signal comes from America so takes a while to reach!!! Well it doesn’t reach at all! I do not recommend ADT at all. Just robbing our money so we can try and keep what little security this system offers us and needs to keep active payments for memory in case anything happens and MIGHT record it!!! Honestly really regretful purchase. Had system nearly 4yrs now. Been trying to look for other ways but I’m not knowledgeable enough to know how to use cameras we have to change on to a different system!

User-Friendly and Feature-Packed, with Room for Improvement
I recently had the opportunity to try out the ADT App, and overall, I found it to be quite intuitive and easy to navigate. The app offers a range of useful features, such as the ability to review highlights and add multiple users, which adds to its convenience. However, I was a bit surprised to find that the app lacks some scheduling options. Specifically, it does not allow for bi-weekly and monthly access periods, and the time parameters are limited to 30-minute increments. This limitation may be a downside for users who require more flexibility in managing their home security. Another aspect that I found slightly bothersome was the push notifications. While they aim to keep you informed about activities around your house, I found them to be overwhelming. As a result, I had to turn off the notifications altogether. On a positive note, the weather forecast feature on the app is quite handy and adds a nice touch to the overall user experience. In conclusion, the ADT App is a solid choice for managing your home security needs. Its user-friendly interface and helpful features make it a convenient tool. However, there is room for improvement, especially in terms of scheduling options and notification management. I hope that ADT will consider these suggestions for future updates to further enhance the app's functionality.

The app just gets more complicated!?
Issues with the app connecting to the actual box aside…
I know that the app was designed to be “easy” but it’s not great in real life usage.
Previous versions had basically a text list of events. Door opened, sensor triggered etc.
The most recent update displays this grouped into a visual timeline of the day called activity.
Problem is now events are grouped together, making it harder to find certain events because icons are never easier to understand without text explaining what it means.
And the list now that it contains video clips scrolls at 2 frames per second.
The list does allow filtering, so I can not show video clips but in doing so the list is now not updating showing a spinner at the top.
We were sold on the fact we could do it all from the app… but the app gets in the way more often than just the manual way of setting an alarm it really isn’t worth the time.

App/video issues, not stable
I am loosing trust in this app as every day I experience different issues.
One day the connection to live video (I have couple cams and doorbell) didnt work at all. Neither wifi reset nor device power reset helped to resolve that. At the same time devices could trigger events and send alerts and there were no issues with wifi/internet at all. But what the point if you can’t access the doorbell when you need that.
Next day it suddenly started working just like magic but then I’ve lost an access to the saved videos. I could still list them all but could not play them. My first thought was that there is something wrong with SD cards but it couldn’t happen too all of them at the same time. So I tried to play them via web browser and it worked. So It confirms the app issue. I still can’t access them via app, might need to try reinstall it as there are no other options.
ADT managers, if you read that you need invest to app development and testing. That user experience could damage your business one day if you don’t start listening to the complaints and start addressing them.

Cancel best advice
Taken out policy cancelled next day and still not received my refund. Company was quick to charge me when I started the agreement. Two days later get a call from the agent that we took the policy out with at ideal home show telling asking me why I cancelled when I asked him, have you read the reviews on the app? . He said you shouldn’t take any notice of that as it’s a small proportion of customers who complain and who are not happy. Really is this what he thinks! I explained that Reviews are everything this day and age and maybe you should take them more seriously and improve the service rather than talking nonsense to me. Get your chief executive to understand what customers think about your company and our strategy to fix them rather than have so many poor reviews - my advice is Stay away cancel straight away. Use your 14 days cooling off period before they tie you down.

A Major Problem
Whilst there are some impressive features on this app, there is a major problem with the slide sensor, it doesn’t work! Firstly there are only three settings, low medium and high. The slider gives the impression that it is possible to fine tune the sensor, this is not true. In reality the sensor does not seem to make any difference regardless of what setting it is on. It continuously activates from any street movement, even on the lowest setting. Either there is a fault with my particular sensor or the app is not working properly.

The doorbell part of the app lets it down.
The door bell should send a call like video message not a ridiculous mind numbing notification stream one after another. The call should come through to my phone as if receiving a video call plain and simple. This really is common sense and I would not be impressed of any IT team involved in my company that didn’t think of this. Especially since this is a paid service.
Apart from that, the app is sufficient I guess.
Not by any means ground breaking.

Unqualified instalment…
It was as if two chimpanzee had escaped from a zoo and came to put in my Alarm System.a simple installation of one Bell Camera and two Censers but believe it or not ADT has not done for me what they preach in there bold Advertisements,my Home Alarm System is totally useless now without the panel control pad working and all kinds of other things going wrong also,I’ve not had one day of total Sercurity for my home since Friday 6th May,yet they monitor and can remotely fix 80% of issues arising, after meny phone calls to ADT came misleading and unkept promises,i how have lost the confidence I once held for ADT,the most disturbing thing is that they knew I had not long been burgled
