  • GREAT POTENTIAL

I use this app to navigate my van in the city of Boston. There are a few quirks that make this app frustrating at times. One is the rerouting. If I accidentally take a wrong turn, most of the time the app does not automatically reroute, I have to manually close the app and type in the address again, which is really frustrating.

The second issue with the app, unlike Apple or Google maps... the app will not allow you to multitask and it will not run in the background if you close it. If you accidentally close the app or get a phone call, the screen resets when you go back to use the app or sometimes a bug will randomly reset your route as you're driving.

I would gladly pay money to have these bugs fixed, as it would make the app much more user-friendly. Until that time, I still rely on a physical GPS for truck drivers.

  • Great App

I wanted to give a 5 star rating to this app cause when it works it’s awesome. Some minor glitches such as if for some reason you have to go off the planned route the app does not reroute itself at least note for me. Also it would be helpful if there was a way to return to the truck icon if you want to zoom in or zoom out, for me I can’t get back to the current location where the truck icon should be. It does go back to where it should but it take too long. I don’t know if there is a way to achieve that if anyone knows how to accomplish that please let me know. Over all a it’s great app and out performs the apps that you actually have to pay for.

  • Free, and you get what you pay for

I have to use this app for work, but I don’t like it. Miss one turn or even just stop to refuel and it loses the route. I have learned to not start the routing until I’m at the edge of the road because if I’m supposed to turn right out of the yard but I’m moving to the left through the gate, it quits speaking the directions. 50/50 that you get rerouted, but 90% chance it’ll quit giving you audible directions, which means you have to either restart the whole thing or watch the map the entire route to make sure you don’t miss a turn
Also tells me to use private drives as through roads and has me exit freeways to get back on them. Roads that don’t exist are routed as well
A lot of work to be done to make this better

  • Stop don’t get it not worth it.

Bad, not worth the Download. I got this app a month ago at the recommendation of a friend and fellow trucker. It worked great for the first month but over the last few weeks it has failed me big time. For some reason it keeps wanting me to take an off ramp just to get back on the freeway. It was doing this for over 50 miles. Then it was by passing the hwy in favor of the surface streets resulting in adding to my trip time and mileage (that’s cost me $) not good. The newest thing is if you do not take the route it wants ( ie the off ramp to just get back on the hi-way) it stops working and you have to set up your route again. My fear is that one day it will take me down a road that I will not be able to get out of or a low over pass.

  • Needed it for a road trip and it SAVED me hours

While driving a large rental van I needed to avoid parkways and this app saved me hours compared to other commercial navigation apps. The visuals for directions were extremely helpful giving me piece of mind while driving a large vehicle. Plus I was able to include the dimensions of the van to perfect the drive. I was extremely grateful if this app for my journey, would HIGHLY recommend to anyone!

The only negative (and it’s small) is that I wish it had the exit numbers for highways versus the name of the road/ exit. But that might be a personal preference!

  • You asked for it

Little Johnny had a friend named Rick and is asked Rick ran down the street and ask the hooker. How much do you charge and she said that much let’s go around the corner and I will work you over. He said wait just a minute he runs back to Johnny this is Johnny we’re gonna go around the corner and she’s gonna work me over Genesis here. Take this piece of paper with you have her fill this out first, then ask her how much she charges and what she would perform Ricks is OK Jenny I will do it. He runs down there with excitement and he has a piece of paper and she says what is this and he says oh I want you to write me a five star rating and yes I’ve done nothing the hooker told him to get lost. How can you write a review? Without doing any samples Rick runs back to Johnny this is this lady is crazy she won’t do as I ask Johnny says that’s the world we live in everybody want something first and something for nothing how about riding the review after you use the app thank you.

  • Upgrades

Road weights would b great for a lot of drivers. Some don’t know the weight the road is designed for no truck route as well
  • Used to be a good app

When I first downloaded this app, it worked perfectly. I had no issues getting to places and I liked how the speed limit was always available now after the update this app is absolutely terrible. The information bar at the top that shows you your next direction gets stuck so it will tell you to turn down a street that you have already turned onto miles ago. The speed limit also get me stuck. It’ll say that you’re going about 7 mph when you’re going 60 on the highway. then not to mention the screen will go black and you have to close out the app and put the address in all over again. change everything back to the way It was before the last update and I’ll go back to using it but I am going to delete this app off my phone because at this point, it is useless

  • Crap

So you’re driving along at night with Hammer running in dark mode and you want to know how many miles before the next turn. You look at your screen and see the white right turn arrow against the yellow background but you can’t see how far because it is displayed in a teeny tiny font, also white against a yellow background. It just looks like a blur. So you pick up your iPhone from the holder and hold it up to your face while squinting while you drift off to the side of the road and your tires catch a snow patch and the next thing you know, you are jackknifed in a ditch!! Could they have possibly found a color/size combination more difficult to read??? You’d think they would design it so the distances could be EASY to read but NOOOOO! Also, the app has this annoying tendency to freeze and crash while using.
