Definitely put my mind at ease.

I have a tendency to be very anxious and worry over any skin changes. I had a spot that looked odd and it showed the spot to be slightly concerning. The doctor got back to me within minutes and both times the doctor said her opinion was it wasn’t concerning to them but to do a couple things and check back in a few weeks. Have an appointment for early December. But will continue to use this app for piece of mind!

Extremely helpful

I have used this app twice to analyse my nevus, which has come out as a melanocytic nevus (benign), and has been cross checked and confirmed by my physician. The doctors that I have spoken to in this app have both been extremely professional and helpful. This app is a great way to connect to a doctor with just $35 USD, must use!

Very quick and professional response.

Will use it again.

Tattoos are suspicious!

Doesn’t take tattoos into account and says the mole is concerning if part of the tattoo is in the shot. Would be much better if you could upload photos you have already taken.

Quick and Easy

I had a spot on my calf that was a litttle scaly and trying to find a dermatologist appointment is incredibly difficult in smaller cities as many go to bigger markets. Submission was easy and I was able to find out via the photo that it was a benign lesion and not really a mole. The joys of aging!!

Scanoma

Took an initial photo with an 81% concern rating.
Applied black salve & then rescanned with a 92% concern rating.
My sight is now being treated and I am grateful for this tool.

Cannot get camera to focus

Having already had melanoma and surgeries for them both, I am trying to find a way to keep track of these between 3 month check-ins. Unfortunately, I cannot get the camera to focus at all no matter what I do or what lighting is used. It’s very frustrating because I have two places that look like my past melanomas, but the camera won’t pick up the multiple colors within the lesion or the irregular border. In the pictures, they look like normal freckles.

If you have a history of melanoma, just save yourself the trouble and try to get to the dermatologist. Unfortunately, I am the caregiver of a disabled child who is in and out of the hospital, so that’s not that easy for me to go as often as I need. I will check back in a few weeks and see if they’ve updated the app. I see I’m not the only one who has this problem after reading through reviews. It’s not my phone either; I can take very clear pictures with my camera. Unfortunately, you can’t upload anything to this app. That is frustrating as well.

Impressed

I am very pleasantly surprised at how professional, quick and easy it was.

Response from developer

Thank you for your review and for trying out our app.

Pricey

$37 to send one photo for a review is ridiculous

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. We believe the $37 is fair for a consultation with a dermatologist, but we hear you and adjust the price occasionally depending on feedback such as this while of course supporting the app and our medical team.

Thank you

The doctor confirmed what I was thinking .. so obviously the procedure works .
I have an appointment for removal as it’s placed on my leg & is rubbed by shorts .
Thanks again

Response from developer
