Unusable
I recently bought the gen one Model One digital because it was on sale. The Model One works but trying to get the app working is just frustrating. The model one said it had connected to the wifi but the app said it had not and wouldn’t let me do anything except retry to connect to wifi. So gave up and now I am using Bluetooth directly.

CD Player Only
Works great hooked up to my vintage stereo via the auxiliary connection. Allows me to stream from my phone and or the Internet directly into my 1970s pioneer receiver. Alcohol and records do not go together. CDs and the Internet do come in handy.
Terrible app
Software on this system is absolutely terrible, and gets worse with each upgrade
Frustrating
Not great. Constantly have to reset connections. The app gets stuck and it’s not at all clear what to do next. Both speakers drop out of the zone I set up and it’s very difficult to work out how to troubleshoot. I’ve spent a lot of time being frustrated and not being able to make my radio and cube play at all - which is incredibly disappointing as the sound quality is great once they’re actually working. It’s just that you don’t actually want to spend 40 minutes faffing around every time you want to play some music.

This isn’t even rocket science
Setting up a rather simple audio receiver/CD player shouldn’t be so complicated. I have a WiFi radio that is over 10 years old that I will use until I can crowd source solutions for this lame Tivoli installation app.
One star is too many
The app is as disappointing as the multi room/speaker feature. All of it is so unstable to the point of unusable. I’m so disappointed. Sure, the TivOneDigital is a goodish radio and Bluetooth speaker, but that’s it. I wouldn’t recommend any system that relies on this app for functionality.
Ruins Tivoli’s reputation
I was so excited to buy Tivoli speakers. I wish I had known this garbage app renders those speakers useless. As others have noted, setup is cumbersome/ineffective and has to be done each time one opens the app. This is absolutely unacceptable. Please fix the app. This is embarrassingly below your reputation.

Great idea. Bad implementation.
App has a good range of features but use is not intuitive. Also crashes to black screen often when exiting play from iPhone.

Appallingly bad, yes, if you think this is a smart system. It’s all very well to have a very, very outdated, dysfunctional, unstable Gen 1 system (Tivoli has outsourced system integration in the process of embedding AirPlay2 and Chromecast in its Gen 2), but to still SELL these devices based on an inaccurate website presentation of them?! Unless what you want is a fully wired system (at the current sale prices) and are, instead, in a “final sale as dumping-on-the-unwarry scenario”, remember that a final sale is not an “as is” sale: you have a right to return a defective product. Try not to put days into “testing” to justify yourself.
