Not yet fully working.

Not sure what’s going on. The app generally works really well for most things. But!!!! The “view my balances” button rarely works. There’s no shadow to show it’s been pressed, I wait and wait but nothing. I close the app, reopen and still nothing. It’s been like this for the last 2 updates. Including this latest one. My favourites for paybill and buy goods have all disappeared, if I try to add again it tells me it already exists, but I can’t access it. This app goes backwards in usability. I would love it just to do what it used to do!!!! Id also like a feature where I can search my mpesa transactions for a person or their number to check old transactions.

Hello Tony.These features are already available on the app just tap on the mpesa tab on the bottom > mpesa statements > money out > send money > search by name . With every new app version, we are introducing new features and improving existing ones. . Best thing since sliced bread was M-PESA

I’m not sure Kenyans understand how lucky we r to have M-PESA app. I’m in the village and transacting with people all over the country buying goods and services without spending too much money. I have received critical good for my farm within hours coz payment was done without a hitch thank you M-PESA be blessed

Unacceptable service

I just want to express my frustration with using the Safaricom app. It is a joke! I am simply trying to get my Mpesa account unlocked but it’s like pulling teeth. I’ve tried calling the customer service line but I’m only getting an automated response. I am literally pulling out my hair.

Our sincere apologies on the delayed response, On the app tap on M-PESA > Account > M-PESA Unlock then enter your ID/passport number to unlock. If the issue persists please email us your account details to customercare@safaricom.co.ke

Frequent Account Interruptions

I’m experiencing constant interruptions to my M-PESA transactions telling me that my account is not active. But when I look at my status in Safaricom’s M-PESA account, it clearly shows that my account is active.

Can someone please address this issue and verify that my status is active and stop limiting me on the usage and information of this account service.

My ID has letters and numbers.I cannot input this data to unlock my mpesa???

Needs activation every time

Update: After having activated it recently, I get another prompt to turn off wifi to activate the app. I’m locked out of the app while abroad once more so frustrating! No other app has this limitation. This app asks to be activated every few days. “After activating mySafaricom App, you can use the app with either data or WiFi.” But after doing so it still needs activation again in two or three days.
