Leave a Review myVW
So flawed
Useful but flawed in the smallest but most annoying ways. Don’t bother with calling the VW app team, they know less than nothing. I really wonder what their purpose even is. Don’t explore the collision report section on the app because once you open the page and click “document a collision” a collision report is started with a reference number and everything despite there ever having been a collision of any kind and it seems there is no way to delete it. Instead of adding a way to delete this, customer service agents rather bat you back and forth between the regular customer service line and the app team, while putting you on multiple holds for over a half hour, just to argue with you about whether you clicked a button to start a report or not, regardless of the topic at hand being the deletion process of the inaccurate report. Between the app and the dealer/service provider in my area, it’s getting really hard to even want a VW. Also, when I send an address to my vehicle from the app, where on earth or cyberspace does it go??? Cuz it sure doesn’t go to the cars nav systemShow lessNeeds Scheduled Remote Start Ability
This app is great in the fact that you can see stats about your car, manage subscriptions, plan services, view location, remote start, and unlock/lock the doors; but one thing that would make it even bette would be the ability to schedule remote starts.
For example when I am getting up in the morning and getting kids ready for school it would be nice to be able to have the car remote start automatically every week day at a set time. Or on specific days and it could notify if it started successfully. This notification would serve as a reminder so if for some reason school is out that day and you notice the notification that your car started you would know to turn it off or just let it time out if the remote start has a time limit.Show lessMuch to do about nothing.
I had an older version of this app for my 2018 golf, and that worked much better until the 3G modem in that car was too old and was sunsetted. I now have an all-electric ‘22 ID4. The only thing this app is useful for is to check the battery level and—slowly and unreliably—to start the climate control. The app is supposed to warn you if the windows are open and bad weather is rolling in, but that hasn’t worked for a few years. Likewise an older version of the app allowed you to unlock doors with the app, that no longer is possible. I often will get a warning that the doors are unlocked or the windows are open when I have walked too far away. The app is also really dumb about things like warning you that the windows or doors are unlocked when someone else is driving a car. So every time my wife stops on an errand I get an alert. Pretty stupid that it can’t tell that another registered user is operating the car. Right now The app is just so short on its potential, it’s embarrassing.Show less
