Leave a Review Wink
My opinion (App needs to be taken down)
So when I first got this app it was a little over 2 years ago. And the reason I got this app was because I was interested in talking to people abroad, like pen pal. I was really interested in wink because I was like oh okay it doesn’t look like tinder or bumble. My motives of using this app wasn’t for dating but simply looking to learn about different cultures. And I have to say I was extremely and I mean extremely disappointed with this app. I matched with a guy on there, had a brief conversation with him and his word choices were very disturbing. I got a predator vibe from him and It’s something I’m not going to forget. Not to mention when I blocked him on my snap chat he made new accounts to proceed to talk to me. That being said, I wouldn’t recommend this app what so ever. I mean even when I was swiping to find people I saw nothing but shady people. This app is not it at all, I don’t care what updates they do on this app. And don’t comment under this saying “thank you for your concern” tell all the parents of the kids that are vulnerable and using this app what your going to do. ✋Show lessDeveloper Response

Don’t bother downloading this… you will have a better experience with the big names. Once you set up your profile and someone like you, you have to pay them money to see who this “person” is… so then you realize you have been scammed and wasted your time setting up a profile, then they won’t let you delete your account for a day and a half while they are “setting “ something up. Most likely want your profile to stay up so they can lure more unsuspecting people on to the app. EDIT: The developers just informed me that you don’t have to pay to use the app. That was NOT my experience. I was told women had clicked like on my profile and when I went to see their profile, I was given three pay options and nothing else. So what they say and what I experienced are certainly NOT the same thing. Rating still stands. The market is flooded with “dating apps” paring on the wallets of the lonely. The world simply doesn’t need another one and one as bad as this… come on guys, did you even research the market before you dropped this?Show lessDeveloper Response
Hi there! You don't have to pay to use it. We want to encourage users to swipe more, so if the person likes you and you also like them back by swiping right, you'll instantly become friends and be able to chat. Due to a technical pause, accounts can be deleted 24 hours after they have been created.Met my now fiancé on here
I got wink two years ago and I used it on and off, often times it was just pervy creeps trying to get explicit pics from me. Idk why I kept it on my phone so long but I did.
Anyways, sept last last year I saw this one guys profile who was my age and obviously I swiped right, turned out so did he. I added him on snap and we talked every day. A little over a month later we considered maybe dating, but because we lived six states apart it seemed very unrealistic. Also at that time we were both 17 and still in highschool so we had no way to go see eachother either. But we decided to go for it even though neither of us had ever done distance. We both thought it’d be a short lived thing, no. We stayed together till the end of our senior year and visited eachother for the first time in person last may. I flew to him for his senior ball. Our parents were definitely shocked. I moved to his town and am about to start college, and we both live in an apartment together. He proposed three weeks ago and I just thought I should leave a review on the app that got us together, so dispite winks many flaws, thank you to the algorithm!Show less
