Initially I complained about a paywall and crashes. The dev responded.
Here is my updated review:
The crashes seem to have been fixed and I’ve had no crashes for days.
Now
if you don’t update your soldiers or don’t know how to and
If you don’t fill your battlefield with soldiers then after a while it will APPEAR you hit a paywall but there is no paywall in this game except your own ignorance.
The devs should have named the combine button ‘update army’ so it’s clear how to update. Then placing army. Initially your army grows so you have to add soldiers to the battlefield but the game doesn’t tell you this. The devs need to fix this so you cannot fight unless you have put all your soldiers on the battlefield.
It’s now an equal all time favourite game of mine.
The in app purchases are not good enough, not really worth buying. They should offer more. Also the game needs to be expanded.Show lessagent86therealone

I play all the time and think the app is great! However, there are a few changes I would love to see and then I will love to give a five star rating. First is there anyway the developers can include a option where you can save your army load outs?? It’s annoying constantly changing your troops for honor hunting, then needing to put everything back the way it was for the arena and then you forget how you had it.. can you guys include a save option?? Second, can the arena be removed? If not, can there at least be a limitation on how many times you can be attacked? I hate working so hard to climb the rankings and wake up the next morning and find I’ve been hit 15 times and all my hard work goes down the drain. There should be a limit on how many times your army can be attacked. I hope these ideas won’t go unnoticed and I will send a email just in case. Thank youShow lessT00NAMI
Confused
In arena there is a little fist. I take that to mean either power or strength. Either way, I have 40,000 more than an enemy that I choose to battle. I also may have 20 or more units more than that person. I still end up losing the battle, why?
After losing to an apparent weaker opponent a few times, one of the opponents has their challenge icon have a glow around the icon. I assume that means I would likely win the battle. It does not mean that. All stats indicate that I would win said battle but I still lose. What’s going on with the stats? If I’m just judging by the wrong things please let me know.
There are some smaller issues but that is my main issue with the app. Other than that, it’s a really fun and addictive game that I like to play everyday.

Dear awdrg1234, to win battles or challenges relies on formation, selecting the right troops, upgrading troops and levelling up troops. By doing so, your troops will become stronger and can wipe out a large number of opponents troops or hero. You can watch more tutorials about the battle formation and upgrading troops or heroes on Youtube by searching for "Phasecast" videos on the Art of War. It really isn’t a bad game. I play it casually and i like how u can play it even on airplane mode. I also love all the different game modes and hoping u find a way to add more!!
My only complaint is that it makes little sense to have to go through every single level. None of the main levels have ever been challenging for me. There should be either some boss level’s at every 25 or 50 level mark, and there should be an option to skip a few campaign levels every so often, or skip to the boss level or something.. because they just take time and i dont even have to try i just win. When i first got the game i asked my friend “does this game ever get hard?” Make a way to have it more challenging pls, or have us be able to skip levels! Thank you!Show lessFun but dissapointed
Fun and addictive but trying to figure out bus/changes
I’ll begin playing the game about a month ago. Absolutely loved it. A lot of strategy involved especially in trying to find a great combination of rare and epic heroes to fight against other players. I had an old iPhone with low memory.I’m not sure if it was because of the age my phone, the low memory, or my sometimes spotty Internet connection but I have a lot of bugs with restarts. I thought I would upgrade to a better phone with more memory and faster processor specifically so I could play the game. Since the upgrade I have not been able to download the app. I’ve joined a guild, fight daily, and really enjoy the entire app. What am I doing wrong? Latest update has been miserable
I was really enjoying this game for a while and was honestly hooked. I saw a few weeks back that there was an update so I figured I updated. Since then, game play has been very laggy and the app crashes at least once every 15 minutes. Annoying but the game is still a lot of fun and it always seemed to pick up relatively close to where it left off regarding coins, levels, troops, etc. when you restarted the app. I figured they would eventually fix whatever bugs were recently introduced, but no new updates, just that one that broke it. I have been wasting more and more time with this game, and restarts are getting more frequent. I was thinking about uninstalling and getting back an hour of each day to do something else, but the game incentives really kept me coming back, watching ads, probably making lots of $$ for the company. Until today, it recovered from its crash saying ?session expired? and asking me to confirm my progress. After confirming, it set me back many hours worth of gains, in coins, levels, troops, etc. so that was the nail in the coffin. Fun while it lasted, but not worth the frustration any longer. Not bad
I downloaded the game because of the adds, only to find out it’s nothing like them. I was actually more interested in what the game actually looked like vs the stick figures.
PRO: this game is very fast past and fun, figuring out the best way to dominate the enemy by placing down where your troops should be is good! I just wish it was more in-depth such as planing where the troop move to.
CONS: it seems like when you reach a certain point in the game your troop don’t kill the enemy before they get killed causing a lost, this isn’t a bad thing but the progress to get more troops is slow and expensive, after 15 battle I still wasn’t able to make enough coin to get more guys. This is where all of the icons come in. Every icon in the game takes you to a micro transaction, which isn’t bad but at the same time the progression in the game come to a halt, not a lot of coins coming in meaning stuck at the same level for hours/ days to get a random card.
IMPROVEMENT: increased the coins so that players will lose but at the same time not stuck at a spot for hours.
Over all the game is fun to play if you’re “free to play” kinda guy like myself until you get to level 54 and you just lose every battle after that until you spend real money or just grind it out.Show lessMr_Anger

I absolutely love this game, I’m currently level 870, and truly enjoy he way the troops work, the missions and hunts, and also the fact it runs perfectly on my outdated iPhone 6. I don’t review games often, but this is brilliant and deserves a good review.
The only downside is that every so often (more often in the arena/ expeditions) the game will crash, but it is very unlikely, and it loads quickly again. I love this game, and so do my friends it is truly amazing.Show lessThenoob7494

Hello, the game is wonderful, however I am a little disappointed that when I ranked up from gold to platinum 1, the leaderboard included all the players above platinum 1. I wish that each rank, such as platinum 1, would have it’s own little leaderboard including only platinum 1 players, just like in the gold rank. This would make players feel a sense of accomplishment as they progress through the ranking system, slowly passing opponents, and leveling up into platinum 2, 3 etc. Nevertheless, I am really happy with this game.Show lesserlandino
