I am on day five which means I just got my first evolution! One thing off the bat I’m not a fan of is that I have NO idea what any of the evolution paths look like so I had to guess which path I wanted to go down. Can there please be an image released of what they all look like so I can figure out if I want to feed my nomi 3,4, or 5 times a day.

Also, the app is cool, but it’s a $2 app and there isn’t enough to do, in my opinion. I cannot customize how my nomi looks, I cannot play any games with him (games are basically just exercise challenges to get hearts to feed your nomi, you don’t actually play WITH your nomi. It leads me to ask, why do I care about this creature or calling it mine if I can’t even do anything with it?

  • Garbage

I bought this app, downloaded it directly on my watch and it’s not there at all. Went to the App Store again clicked on it again and it wanted me to pay for it again when it should have said I already purchased it once. Thankfully it was only $2.79 so not much of a loss but will never buy anything from Andrew chin again

    Developer Response

Hey there! Thanks so much for your support. Please note that this is a bug with Apple's App Store, and not our fault. I'm sorry this has happened though. Here's the fix. Please go ahead and follow these steps. 1. Go to the App Store on your Apple Watch 2. Search for Nomi and buy it again. 3. A message will appear stating that you have already paid for it and will treat it as a free download. Let me know if that helps!
  • Family sharing not working

Great app even if there is not a lot to do with the little guy ( combat with friends or stuff like that would be great).
One bad thing is that it says it work with up to 6 family member but I can’t make it to work, always ask to pay again
  • Love it😍 But…..

I think 🤔 the concept is excellent and keeps people accountable for their own progress in how they manage to keep the pet alive daily. My one issue is that if I have done the work/workout throughout the day and filled up the heart(s) why can Nomi not feed himself? This is me moving all day everyday in my life with my watch on, but I really don’t have the time to tickle and watch him do tricks just to eat the heart. My day does not stop because he is hungry or has a heart waiting for me to tap for him to eat. This is something that your team needs to look into especially when life gets really hectic. I’m apart of an Apple Fitness Group & that is the General consensus with many; We are doing workouts, taking care of family, self-care, working just to have this thing Die because of the tap of the screen. 👎🏽

  • Love this app so much but a few questions

I’ve been using this for about 2-3 weeks and can’t stop playing it. I have a few questions though how long does a single heart last roughly as sometimes I really have no clue how long I have with one heart. My second question would be while using the sushi you win from game modes do those count as feeding your pet which changes your average amount of feeding every day or do that not count at all as feeding and just fill a heart. Other then those questions I can’t get enough of this app looking forward to new updates and maybe new game modes possibly

  • Waste of money!

Don’t waste your money. Get Step Dog or something else instead. This dies way too easily, first of all. Even if the easy or casual mode, it’s just not realistic! But also, after a day or two it stops notifying you to feed it so you just naturally forget sometimes. Then you have to start all over. And it looks like there are a few different types of Nomi to hatch but I keep getting the same one! I have no idea what it morphs into though I can’t keep it alive more than 10 days or so. And the mini games don’t work! Or at least not while you’re using an Apple Watch workout? Which there’s absolutely no way I’ll not track a run over playing a dumb Nomi mini game lol. Just skip this one, even though it’s pod the dev isn’t making it better.

  • Great!.. for a while

This app is an awesome idea!

The nostalgia levels are great, it’s easy to use, it’s fun and it’s cute!

It also progresses nicely, encouraging you to do a few more steps to fill a heart or play a game to earn a sushi which is achievable.. until day 40 when all of a sudden it becomes impossible to earn even a small sushi.

I’m a fairly active person, I work in a gym and do workouts nearly every day but for those important and necessary rest days, you do need to have banked some sushi’s to get Nomi through the day.

The 3000 steps per heart at day 40 is in line with the progression, however at day 40 all of a sudden the “Quick Boogie” becomes impossibly hard compared to the previous evolution.

It gives you 10mins to fill the energy bar by keeping your heart rate above 130bpm, my rate was 160+ for 10mins and I barely filled the bar a third of the way in that time. Even a 5kM run @ 5min/kM wasn’t enough to fill the bar which I find a little far out.

It sounds dramatic, but unless you’re a pro athlete and training is your life, it doesn’t seem like past Day 40 will be possible to maintain which kills the vibe and desire to keep playing Nomi.

It was fun as a once off, but knowing I probably won’t be able to ever maintain Nomi past Day 42 and see the other evolutions is a deal breaker unfortunately. There’s no reason to keep replaying the same evolutions over and over.

  • Amazing but 1 annoying bug preventing 5*

Does exactly what it says on the tin and is great motivation to keep active and break up the day!
My only issue with it is the constant little annoyance of having to restart games at the beginning. When I start a boogie game, 9 times out of 10 it will just return to the Nomi homepage and I have to scroll and restart the exercise. Not the worst bug in the world but it's certainly annoying when you're getting ready to exercise and you keep getting postponed by it messing up. Would give 5⭐️ otherwise.

  • Cute and Motivating

I would give Nomi 5 stars but there are a few things that need to improve. Nomi only sleeping for 6 hours isn’t realistic to someone trying to be healthy and get their 8 hours of sleep. When adding friends, we should be able to help Other Nomi’s out be sharing hearts. I would like to see evolutions go beyond the 100 day mark. Otherwise it’s a great little app and I enjoy making sure it’s hearts are full. After day 40 is really when it gets to be something that keeps me going.

  • Update- battery issues

Updating my thoughts as after a few days this app is destroying the watch battery life. Please fix

This app is so cute and so fun but I do wish it had a companion app for the phone it’s just easier to customize etc. speaking of customize, developer can you make the option for different backgrounds and stuff like that? It also make it easier to have mini games if there was a phone app and then then the watch app for quick interactions.
