  • Cute app

Love this app. I’ve had my Nomi alive for 21 days now. Ive really been looking forward to him evolving and have it set as a complication on my watch face.

The only thing I wish it had was a way of storing up the hearts. If I don’t keep feeding him throughout a walk then I can’t use all my steps.

I’ve just done a 3 mile walk and as I was trying to negotiate 4 dogs that I had with me I couldn’t keep feeding him. Now I’m home with only half a heart left and looks like he might not make the night 😥

It would be good if you could have the hearts you’ve filled lined up so you can feed him when you are home. Even if you still limit it to 3 that can be lined up.

But really do love it. X

  • Everyone needs a Nomi

This is one of my absolute favorite Watch apps. I have tried other pet apps before but this is the best in my opinion. It’s quite simple but the design and concept are amazing. I have only had my Nomi for 4 days but I love feeding it and checking up on it. I’m just wondering, however, when it will evolve for the first time. Looking forward to it and I can’t wait to see new features in the future. Thank you so much for this!

  • Nomi is the best!

I love Nomi- he’s so much more motivating than a normal pedometer. He helped me get moving out of lock down and his brothers and sisters have helped nudge me to being more active in general. I’ve even fallen in love with hiking.
  • 6 hours old

Mine isn’t registering steps at all and I completed my exercise ring three times today! I have half a heart left and it won’t even last the night... 😪

Edit 2 weeks later.. after me writing the above the developer has contacted me and cured all the faults! Brilliant app that works, encourages and motivates! Thank you!!!

Hey there, thanks for your support! Can you please try these steps? 1. Can you please open the activity app and then try playing the game again? 2. If the above doesn’t work, can you please check that all permissions are on? Please do this from your iPhone and go to Settings > Privacy > Health > Nomi. 3. If the above doesn’t work, would you mind trying to restart your watch and seeing if it works after that?
  • Doesn’t work

I have been very active today - 12,000 steps but when I play “the game” it’s not recognising my exercise even though I’m working out hard. So my nomi is crying and dying even though I fed it lots of times. Why? I bought it to stay motivated but it’s clearly not working! Update - still can’t re-download this app - very frustrating! Can’t use it, very unhappy

Hi there, I'm sorry for your trouble. To re-download the app, can you please follow these steps? The app store is a little frustrating: 1. Go to the App Store on your Apple Watch 2. Search for Nomi and buy it again. 3. A message will appear stating that you have already paid for it and will treat it as a free download. Please email me directly if the steps still don't count in the game by emailing hi@nomi.pet - Andrew
  • Cute little buddy, stay active so they don’t die! :)

I’ve kept my Nomi alive for 95 days and counting - it has definitely motivated me to walk throughout the day or be active when I don’t quite have the motivation. Overall, well worth the minimal cost because it’s cute and fun. Love that there are continual updates and it keeps getting better.

Suggestions for the developer: is there a way to show time left before a heart gets empty? Or a reminder like “one hour left before Nomi dies” 🤣I would love to interact with it more somehow or would love if it read my exercise minutes to earn a heart for the “game” without having to start the exercise on the app. It really screws up my workout tracking / data to only set it for the 7-9 min at a time. Like if I could start a run and at the end, Nomi would tell me I earned 2 hearts worth based on HR during the run.

Update: I’m now on my 3rd Nomi and they’re just so cute and motivating. Sadly, the last one died at 147 days and I didn’t get the “one hour left” notification - I think because I was asleep and watch was set to Apples new do-not-disturb sleep setting. Excited for the new evolution paths now with my newest Nomi!! Love the updates, great job!! Can’t wait to find some friends!

Hi debbyo81, we're currently working on figuring out how we can manage and build the 'banking' of hearts so it may be something in a future update. Regarding warnings and how long it has left until the heart disappears, you should receive notifications when you lose a heart and when your heart is full (when its ready to feed Nomi) if you're not getting these please check out your notification settings. Each heart should last around 8 hours and goes down 1/4 of a heart each couple of hours. Hope this helps and thanks so much for the review!
  • It's Awesome! Wish it had more animations.

It's Like the old school tomigochi pets, it's like having a Pokémon or Digimon on your wrist that forces you to think about working-out or else your little buddy dies. And you get to a point where you really don't want your little Nomi to die. I love it! My hopes is that they come up with more animations, like when you pet Nomi it does the same cute shimmy, but that gets old after a few times of doing it. It would be nice to see more interactive animations. Maybe having Nomi do tricks like a flip or rollover or somehow teaching Nomi something new. And perhaps there can be other forms of workouts that help feed Nomi as well. If those things can be added, this app would be such a fun interactive piece that I wouldn't want to live without.

That sounds fantastic. These are great points and are definitely on our (long) list! Thanks for the kind words and support!
  • I love this!!! ❤️

What a cute and brilliant app this is! My only negative to report is the sense of loss I felt after losing my little guy after nurturing him carefully for 31 days after one crazy day of work meetings. I lost Blitsy... I was bereft! I am now on day 50 with my latest cute companion and have formed quite a bond.

The strange virtual grief at the first loss (maybe COVID PTSD) has motivated me even more this time round. I think this is a lovely use of the watch and getting those of us working at home off their a**es where we are in real danger of being sat immobile for large portions of the working day. I now do meetings walking around an adjacent field to fuel the tiny, smiling fella!

Thank you from bringing Nomi love into my life ❤️

Your review brought a smile to my face. Thank you so much for your kind words and support! We're going to keep adding to Nomi, so please stay tuned!
  • Customization options?

As much as I enjoy this app, I would love it even more if it included little things like accessories and having the option to change the environments. It would be a good idea to implement a coin system where you get coins if your nomi is still alive by the end of the day. And we could use those coins to buy little accessories like hats and to unlock backgrounds. Just a thought as someone who loves being able to customize everything .

  • Good motivation and love the design!

It’s like having a fitness buddy on your wrist! Nomi helps to keep me motivated to get my steps in each day - plus it’s cool to see how it will evolve over time. Really love the game feature as it allows me to get a heart much quicker when I’m running out of time.

    Work perfectly on S6.

Very excited to try out the features of the new release & share with friends.
