Brilliant app!
In future would love to see
- custom layers (elevation, gradient, aspect based)
- ability to rotate map in 2D
- more reliability / control in route building to enable / disable snapping to trails

Response from developer
Thanks for the feedback Eyrok! You can rotate the map in 2D if you unselect "lock orientation" in the app settings. Weโre currently working on more custom layers (including elevation, gradient, and aspect, as you suggested) as well as an improved route planning mode.
So far, closest to FatMAP
Just need to get more users so can view ski tours / descriptions.
Great app
Gotta get the heat maps back!! please!
Heat map
What happened to the heat map? Please bring it back
Awesome
Thanks for keeping this alive! One feature I would love to see again is the coloured slope aspect feature. I don't remember if FATMAP has had this for a while either, but it's very handy.
Response from developer
We are working on this feature, it should be ready for winter!
Thank you
Thank you for replacing FATMAP after Strava destroyed it ๐ซก๐
Bless you
Thank you for building this dude!!
Essential Backcountry Map
Iโm an avid cartophiliac and use a variety of mapping applications for work and personal use. Iโve been a fan of OUTMAP for providing a simple mapping experience that provides offline maps for free. In this day and age of tech, having downloaded topo maps that are already basically free should not be a premium feature and OUTMAP provides that accessibility to the people. I als appreciate that the app isnโt cluttered with glitchy map drawers or outsourcing my data. My only complaint is that the recent update removed the heat map layer, itโs one of my favorites for studying use as a public land manager and I was sad to see it go. Thanks for providing this service!
