App Goes Down a Lot

I’ve been following whitney for years so I was super excited about an app!! I’ve found the app easy to keep up with so now I’m consistent and it’s also easy to use while I’m at the gym with the quick video to go with the workout, the reps, and some timing help. The formatting is super simple and the UI design is helpful while at the gym. So far so good.

I will say the cons are that it’s very minimal with options and customizations (what weights I’m using, if I want to make notes, diet tips, tracking measurements, switching around the schedule to work better for me) that id like to see in the future. The availability of the app is also such a bummer. The server is constantly down and I have to hope it loads before I want to workout. The support teams English was also difficult to understand.

unfortunately disappointed

Excited the app was finally available I tried for a week to make a premium purchase. Everytime it failed (on the apps end) so i wasn’t able to get the trail or access the apps content. When it finally worked and I got confirmation from apple that my purchase was successful the app continues to glitch. It won’t let me access the content because the “get premium” thing keeps popping up. So I try restoring and it says yep you’ve already purchased this but it won’t let me access anything. Maybe shutting my phone off or quitting the app? Nope no luck. Maybe logging out? Now I can’t log back in. Apparently my email address doesn’t exist in the system. But somehow it’s in my purchase history on my App Store. I know apps can have bugs but I’m disappointed that so long after the release date I’m still unable to use it. Won’t even get to take advantage of the 7 day trial as it doesnt even work.

Missing options

The following missing would be BOMB:
-input weight for tracking ***
-voice over in videos
-recommendation for weight heaviness in each applicable workout
-written tips for each workout
-warm up before workouts
-stretches after workouts

Amazing!!!

A year and a half ago I hired a personal trainer to help get me back into shape but unfortunately after training for 14 months he moved away. I’ve been trying to stay consistent in the gym but lost a lot of my motivation and I was afraid I would start losing a lot of my progress. I found something and someone who challenged me in all the good ways....thanks to Whitney’s “Alive” app I feel like I have that back in my life again! I am so incredibly impressed and pleased with this app and the lay out! Today was my first day and it kicked my booty hard but I loved it! I love that there’s a video dome starting how to correctly perform each move and I love that the timer counts down for me so I know how long to rest in between each set! I love that the moves are challenging but simple too! Bravo to everyone who helped create this app and thank you! I can’t wait to workout tomorrow!!!!

Yes, please and thank you. So beyond impressed with how smooth this app runs. I admire the thought that has gone into making the experience as seamless as possible for the customer. I am genuinely EXCITED for my next workout (this never happens). Will definitely be continuing my monthly subscription!

Good but needs a few tweaks

The video demos are very helpful but it would be good if you could track the weights you’re using and have a suggestion of a beginner/intermediate/ advanced weight. Also with tracking my personal weight in kgs there is no option for putting the grams, there is only whole numbers. Also having a warm down sequence with stretches for the specific muscle groups you’re using would be helpful

Amazing

I am loving this app so far! The content is 5 star quality and I really like the ease of use, the layout of the app, and programs. My only complaint is that when you start a program, you essentially have to do the days in order because the rest of the week is locked. I’ve only been able to preview the next days workout and not able to view the entire week of workouts. I understand that there is probably some protection of content as the reason for the workouts to release day by day. However, depending on my schedule It is not always possible for me to do the workouts of the week on the specified days preset. It would be helpful if all workouts for an allotted week of the program would release all together at the beginning of the week. This would allow users to change the workout days and rest days as their time allows during the week. As other reviewers have mentioned, I would also like to see a feature that allows users to log weight used for exercises in the programs.

I think there should be an option to watch how the exercises are done when you go through the overview of the workout instead of only showing the videos when you actually begin the workout

Holy Heckinbob, YES!!

I have a massive love hate relo with Whit & her app because DANG does it kill me 🥵 This is the exact type of change that I needed in my fitness life though, because I’d become so bored with the way I was training & didn’t find anything challenging enough.
With this being my first ever purchase/subscription of a fitness app & taking part in a weekly challenge, I’m fricken stoked.

Super affordable, easy to navigate & super challenging 😌
