  • Sherlock Homes

Like other reviewers stated, this game is fun to play, but unless you pay money for items to help, you will not win very often. I could play 30 different times and maybe win 3 without purchasing items to help. The red crystals are used to purchase all the booster items, yet in the game you can only get one at a time on certain wins. Every win does not give you crystals, so you are left with buying them, which gets pretty expensive, because you need crystals to buy the items that are necessary to win. But you collect tons of coins and have nothing to spend them on. The only thing you use the coins for is to open a new book, which doesn’t happen that often. I have almost 600,000 coins and nothing to spend them on. I like playing this game, but sometimes I have to stop playing because it is clearly just a money grab. The developers keep saying that all games can be won without purchasing booster items. And what I say to that is, yes, you might win without purchasing items, but your going to play 20 to 30 times before you get that win.

Sherlock Hidden Object is an ok game in my opinion. I will warn newer players that the game gets challenging very quick which might lead to you getting stuck on a quest for awhile. The tools you’re given to help solve the puzzles will definitely go quick and you will wish you saved them. The prices for buying in game items seems rather decent for an app of pretty good quality. The storyline and artwork are well crafted. The main screen seems a bit crowded though and I wish I had a tab that could shrink the bar away and back if I needed it ever which would be cool imo. I love getting the choice between match 3 and find the objects though I dislike that if I choose one and complete it the other will stay the same find 2 objects or reverse until I do that one as well. It’d be so much more helpful in progression if you finished one the other changed as well because rn I’m stuck doing the match 3 only on one scene because the mirror mode is too challenging for me to complete! Otherwise, Sherlock is a decent game with some flaws and a good way to pass time for something!

  • Good game … until the DAILY CRYSTALS STOPPED !

Since I started playing YEARS AGO, players were able to get 15 free crystals daily by watching ad videos. There used to be a button on the right side of the screen where the buttons for purchasing deals are located. By pressing this “free” button, you would watch ad videos and be rewarded with a crystal each time you watched a video. You could also get an additional 10 crystals if you clicked the plus symbol to purchase crystals, chests, and/or coins in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Watching the videos entitled every player to get 15 free crystals every single day for investing 5-10 minutes of watching videos. Since the 2022 Easter update, the option to watch ad videos and get crystals in return has been eliminated. Getting those free crystals, encouraged me and others to play more! I of course reached out to customer service multiple times before writing this review and the response was never the same except for the repetitive message that the free crystals were only given out “randomly“; even though my friends and I had been getting them for years. Years is certainly not random! This issue still has not been fixed and I highly doubt it will at this point. Sad to have invested so much time into a game when they can’t fix a simple glitch such as this no matter how many players request a solution. ✌🏼& ❤️.

  • Money hungry

Another game designed to get you to spend tons of real world money. I would’ve dealt with ads to get rewards. However that’s not an option. This game becomes too difficult too soon. I also hate the timed hidden object part. The match three gets to be ridiculous. When games are too difficult it is not fun for me. While I was intrigued by the theme and the storyline I could no longer tolerate the insane difficulty of the game. Not to mention having to win two or three sometimes four levels just to complete the quest was ridiculous. The need for energy to even get to play and then not getting that energy back if you win just took all of the fun out of the game. I am enjoying a lovely bubble shooter game that is so enjoyable and provides just enough challenge without being too challenging so I chose to spend two dollars on it to get rid of the ads and get a few more game things. Sherlock Holmes I’m not even willing to spend a scent on. The game has been deleted.

  • Please add a reference tutorial

The game is fun, especially at the beginning when the puzzles are easier. It can get frustrating after a while when the searches and puzzles become more difficult, but with patience, tools are given which help solve harder puzzles. Some puzzles seem almost unsolvable, though. While waiting for tools to solve the hardest levels, you can move on to new storylines with easier levels at their beginning.

One request would be for a help screen with access to the tutorials on how to solve puzzles (given only once when the new element first appears). It would also be nice to be able to look up some of the items in the collections to understand how rare or easy they are to collect. I’m making gifts to friends with no idea whether I’m giving away super valuable or rare items. I’m sure there are other things that would also be helpful in a reference section, especially for newer users.

  • Not happy

I like the game but it is costly the further into it you get. You use up energy so quickly! You use up crystals buying energy and also to keep playing the game your currently in. Plus the fact how many crystals you have to use! You go through those very quick! Also, my eyesight’s not what it used to be, so the time limit on the hidden object games, aren’t long enough, so I go through a lot of extra crystals buying extra time. I want to keep playing this game but it’s getting too expensive!!!! Also, I’ve noticed that someone else is charging stuff on my credit card!!!!!!! I know this because there are things being bought on days I didn’t buy anything, plus things are bought that I don’t even buy!!!!! I don’t appreciate this one bit!!!! I have deleted the three players I friended on the game, but it continues to happen. Can you look into this and find out who’s stealing from me? I’m about to call my credit card company and get them involved. I have been paying for a lot of things that I didn’t purchase!!! Im about to just delete the game all together!

  • Review from Morning Dove-2

I am enjoying this game thus far. I also started playing June’s Journey and Pearl’s Peril. I was unable to play scenes due to lack of energy, flowers, and tokens today, so I have been searching for another search game. It would be nice to not be retired and on a fixed income but it is what it is. All games are similar but the energy is refilled when a quest is done in this game. There is also an option to select finding hidden things-which I love or matching-which I hate. Also the objects move around in this game which do not move in the other 2 games. There are items you receive to assist you when you are unable to locate an item in this game. A pointer helps you decide which one to use. The story plot is intriguing and the objects are animated like a jumping rabbit to click on. I do hope there are no surprises as I level up with this game to force me to buy or becomes too difficult for me to play. I give this game a 5 star review.

  • Stop anxiety!

This game has been helping me cope with my COPD. I have a problem with OCD and now I can’t do the things I use to do. I lose oxygen trying and have to set down. It takes me 2 hours to open a box cake mix and get it ready for the oven to bake. It not good to be on oxygen and cook to. But when my oxygen goes down so far I lose brain cells and can’t think which sends me into anxiety attacks. They have put me in the hospital for a week. This game seem to slow the attacks down.
One of the ways to stop the anxiety is being able to focus on anything that can take the mind off what made the anxiety click.
Doctors says…name every thing you see! Doesn’t matter what it is just say the name out loud until you feel the anxiety slowing.
This game does it for you. Hunt those hidden objects. This games looks like l might just stay with it. It helps me tremendously with my issue. I will have to let my COPD Team know about this games.

  • Guestbook Entry

Game is fun to switch back from the tile swapping and the actual seek and find objects. Loved when it did the silhouettes, it’s always new and exciting. However there are so many quests and tasks that it’s like having a million things going on at once. So even though I completed and unlocked an artifact I have like 5 others in process from previous bits of story that I can’t unlock. And now it wants me to unlock a new book. Whew! Kinda glitchy- I really love the seek and find and wish I didn’t feel as rushed because that’s the whole reason I downloaded this game the fun of it, I love to have time to stare at the design and see what’s been created and then look for the item, but because of the story, you start right away and if you don’t finish quickly it gives you less bonuses 😔

  • Wish you could earn crystals easier and why can’t I open new books

You are forced to purchase in app crystals because it’s almost impossible to earn them but they are required to play many games. This game could be great if it didn’t cost so much and when I asked the created how to earn more crystals within buying them, the answer was not true. You don’t get anymore than 1 crystal at a time. You have to play games that cost crystals to earn crystals??? In no way can you earn enough to sustain the game. So they will tell you that it is possible to play for free but after several months I don’t think that’s even remotely true. This game again would be amazing if they didn’t force you to spend so much money in app. Wishing you put us all on a an even playing field. I would play much more if it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg so now so just limit play to keep my budget in check. Also for over a month none of the new books will open so I’ve stock piled tons of coins but I can’t use them. Why have new books if you aren’t going to let us use them.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. We admit that the game may seem difficult at some levels, but all of them can be passed without making any purchases. There are many possibilities to receive free extras (including crystals) as you play the game, but in addition, you can take part in various contests on our social media pages to receive valuable prizes. We're working to add more books in one of the future updates. We highly appreciate your feedback and will definitely consider it for future updates.
