Easy to use, great concept
I recently started using Tandem to connect with families to babysit and I’ve really enjoyed it! I love that it’s free to use and the team is very responsive to any issues/ questions. I hope that it continues to grow!
Really great app for Columbus locals!
I really enjoy using Tandem, it was the only app I could find that doesn’t take a cut of my earnings. I’ve also had a much easier time finding jobs through them than any other app, and whenever I have an issue or question it gets answered right away. I hope tandem continues to grow and do well because it’s a really cool concept! I will definitely continue using it.

Super easy to use, lots of options, quick responses
Super easy to post my job and had tons of people respond to the posting for a cat sitter. The sitter I went with was super responsive and easy to coordinate with! I loved being able to pay through the app too. Even tho it’s required it’s actually so much less stressful then coordinating Venmo’s and making sure I had the right person, etc. Definitely will use the app again!

A sitter/nanny
I have had this app for about 5 months I want to say but I started actually accepting shifts about a month ago. I love it and the access to everything is very easy. The pay is good and quick. All of the families are so kind and understanding . If you’re looking into being a sitter this is the app you’d want . I am able to reach out to Olivia easily and she’s a big help with any questions . Definitely see myself continuing this long term .

Streamlined, convenient, and effective.
When I was looking into sitting two years ago, my discovery of the Tandem app was definitely the best possible outcome. Having a dedicated hiring app (containing everything from messaging to a payment system) designed to best match sitters with the right clients made all the difference. The app, especially over the course of its updates, is very accessible and user-friendly. It contains nearly everything you need in order to arrange a sitting job, making it a real one-stop-shop. The writing is on the wall when it comes to Tandem; I haven’t looked for another method of finding sitting positions since installing it and wouldn’t really consider doing so. I highly recommend this app to sitters and parents alike as it takes every step it can to make the sitter hiring process the best it can be.

I was trying to sign up and it wouldn’t let me… the password kept saying I needed 8 characters with 1 uppercase, lowercase and number and I did that but it wouldn’t let me continue
Babysitting, tutoring, and now pet care!?
I started babysitting on this app a few months ago and have easily made more money in half the time than I did when working at Starbucks. I’m in college and this is a great app for students because they only send you jobs based off the availability and $ rate that you can and want to work.
They also have tutoring, which is something Ive always wanted to do on the side for younger students but didn’t have any certifications. (I’m sorry, but you don’t need a certificate to help a 4th grader with math homework 🤣) ! So now on Fridays I tutor, I babysit whenever I see a job that I like (mostly one time jobs for me personally, but there are a BUNCH of weekly / recurring ones if that’s your cup of tea).
And NOW … THEY HAVE PET SITTING! I literally get paid (more than I did when I did wag and Rover) to hang out with pets. They don’t talk, scream, or throw temper tantrums. The pet thing is pretty recent, but Ive made some good money off it. Just need more people to find it and post their pet care jobs haha.

Consistent babysitting/nanny jobs, transparent hours and pay
I’ve been using tandem for about 1.5 years now. This is basically how it works: families request sitters for specific dates and times and they state their hourly pay up front. Sitters create a bio and then look through the jobs on the app and choose which ones to accept (some of them are called “quick-fill” and you get the job as soon as you accept it and some you apply for and the family gets to choose one of the sitters from the applicant pool). Sitters get a Tandem debit card and money is automatically transferred from the family to your tandem debit card after each job

I filled out a bio, got my background check, and started getting matched with babysitting jobs and could pick the ones that fit my schedule and desired pay. Before tandem, my babysitting gigs were few and far in between and the amount of money I would make wasn’t always clear up front. This app took away all of the guesswork and waiting.
Every job states the location, date, hours, pay, and number/ages of the kids. Most families will also include a little snippet of info or expectations they want you to know before accepting the job. After your job ends, Tandem automatically messages the family with the amount they agreed to pay and 100% of the money is transferred from their bank account to your Tandem debit card
I would genuinely encourage anyone who enjoys spending time with kids and wants to make some extra cash to try out this app
