Poor job Noma
I was pleased to purchase lights from a long standing UK company. However it is clear they have left the manufacture and app to China with little regard for their market. The lights are ok but not worth buying since the pont is to have the app functionality. The app does not work and it is not user friendly or intuitive; settings do not appear in dark mode, changing the name of the lights does not stick, the timer does not work and you cannot run them on more than one device because the settngs aren’t actually saved to the lights and colour/ design options are limited. Bought 3 sets and they are all going back and it has put me off Noma products - if that matters to them at all. When you are competing against Twinkly you seriously need to up your game even if you are a lower price point.

App not fully functioning

There has been an update to the App yet still the app does not work! Still unable to see numbers to set timers and even if you do happen to be lucky enough to guess a usable time the app doesn’t remember it. This makes the lights no better than your average on off lights, yet purchased at a much higher price!

Disappointing app
As mentioned in other reviews, the LED lights themselves are good.
The app has serious issues that make it difficult to use. Tested on an iPhone 6S and a 12, both on iOS 14.
- The app is unusable in dark mode: text/checkboxes is not shown.
- The unicolour colour selector doesn’t work on an iPhone 12: it doesn’t show on the screen, instead there is a white background.
- When you set the timer settings, the app doesn’t remember them after you change screen.
- It would be nice to be able to save a custom colour selected with the colour selector, so that you can use it with the unicolour modes. The app lets you use just the predefined colours for the modes.

Lights great but app needs work
Lights are great and really lovely to watch, but the app needs work, can’t select two different colours to work at the same time unless you just have the preset ones can’t access music. Needs improvement and could be a fantastic buy
Music function doesn’t work
Music function doesn’t work, I have allowed access but it doesn’t see any of my music. Other than that it’s easy to set up with lots of colour and speed options.
Great bit of kit
Having had a play around I got myself used to the app and the lights. It did take a little playing and understanding that you need to allow it access to certain sections of your phone but works great.... music mode defiantly works better with higher tempos and strong beats :)
Lights are great the app is lousy!
This app needs a serious work, I can’t believe Aldi put there name to this, it’s a shame as the lights are very nice but the app is a shambles. For start the timer is useless as you can’t see the times in Dark Mode, you have to put Light mode on and even then at least on my set the timer function does not save ever! The music doesn’t show my library, and the colour wheel doesn’t show at all!! It’s just not worth it! A big big shame! I am using an iPhone 12 I hope the developers update the app!

Good enough app but
Can’t change the times it comes on and off with my iPhone in dark mode. Had to switch it to enable me to see the times.
Fine just to change colour of the lights
The music feature appears not to function as I allow it access to my music but does not find any music. The rest of the features work such as changing light effects. But my main reason for purchase was the music feature so I am disappointed.
Music
I would love to be able to pick the colours when I play music instead of it just being rainbow automatically. Great app tho can’t wait to put them on the tree!!!
