Last update causing problems

App is lagging since the last update in Oct 2024 and now crashes if a colour adjustment is attempted (which is necessary due to the red / yellow tones of the printer). Resetting app / restarting phone does not solve the issue.

2.5.6 Crashing Every time I use the app

Running IOS 18.1 and the app crashes every time I try to select a photo, tried on two separate devices, deleted and reinstalled the app, and every other “fix” that is mentioned. None of them worked. Then the developer website shows me the terms and conditions. Leaving me to do nothing else but write a review. Maybe this will get the teams attention. Basically this thing is a brick now with IOS 18.

App repeatedly crashes

The printer is neat, small and compact - great for travelling & printing for a scrapbook. However, the app is clunky and simply crashes if you try to print photos from more than a few days ago, so much so that is driving me towards buying a different brand of printer to ease my growing frustration.

App no longer compatible with iPhone picture formats?

Purchased the printer in July and other than some occasional glitches that required restarting the app, it was working well until a couple days ago.

I started getting data errors every time I tried to print. Deleting and reloading the app didn’t help, resetting the device didn’t help. I finally reached out to Kodak and their solution: take a screenshot of the picture I want to print and print the screenshot. This worked, but it’s annoying and hardly convenient.

I assume this is a software compatibility issue, making printing from certain file formats impossible. I hope they fix this soon!!

Device cannot connect to the app

It’s the second time I used the step printer. At the beginning it refused to print, always processing then “try it again”. Then it couldn’t be connected in the app (although the bluetooth setting shows it’s connected, and I could find it in the device list in the app). It’s so frustrating. I only printed out 1 photo successfully when I tried it out for the first time…

Crashing and errors

The app keeps crashing or saying re send picture there is a data error.

Used to be great but now it crashes constantly

I got my Kodak Step Slim in July and it worked wonderfully for about 3 months. There are some issues with yellow / white coloring on the prints but I was more than satisfied with this printer and it fulfilled my needs. I unfortunately no longer can use this software to print with my Slim as it crashes constantly and it’s not stable enough to print even one photo. I hope this can be fixed and my printer hasn’t been rendered useless but right now it’s just a paperweight on my desk

Does not connect

Been struggling with this for a good while, when selecting “select an accessory” it simply does not show up, my phone IS connected to it but on the app it seems like I doesn’t pick up unless you connect it through a specific set of steps on the app

Good so far, but.

I bought the Kodak Step Printer yesterday and downloaded the app. So far, the instructions and format are good. But I can't scroll down through my gallery; the app's mechanism always wanted to stay on top of my photos. Even if I tried to select an image, the app wanted to keep on top of a few pictures. Hopefully, Kodak will resolve this issue with an update because I wanted to use this product and this app.

Printer

When I first got my printer I was very excited and I printed three pictures right away and that were perfectly fine then I printed one more. It was also fine and then I printed three and they were all messed up. They weren’t even the right photo scratches through it and you can’t even see it. It was all messed up. And I was very disappointed because I spent $100 on it.
