Horrible software DO NOT USE!

Unless you just want a few photos, don’t buy anything Kodak especially the step because the app is HORRIBLE which makes the equipment USELESS!!’

I have gone through 4 step printers because of “defective” or “software” issues but they all have the same issue when it comes to updating and performing the same tasks every day.

I was able to run about 20 photos through this printer before it broke(well the app broke which makes the printer useless, you cannot use the printer without the app)

And support only says restart it and I’ve done it so many times then they say oh we’ll send you a new one…are you kidding me it’s the 4th time and still horrible

bad UX

or bad product?
there’s a bug that keeps scrolling me to the top of the pictures reel so i can’t get to the one i want to print. Also, the printer crops out part of the image that the app makes you think is whole. the stickers are useless and text editing is clunky.

Slow and doesn’t age well

Bought this to use 1x per year (printing 25 photos each time). Like all technology this thing was good at first but with each year it’s gotten worse. Takes forever to load/print, quality of the pictures is going downhill. It’s 3 yrs old.

An ill-conceived app

I am not sure if this is a result of poor laziness or lack of funding, this app should not have passed quality control. The colours you see on your phone does not match the printed results. The app is so useless and lack functionalities. Kodak might as well just let other photo apps to print to the printer directly instead of forcing us to use its lousy app that cannot let you edit and refine your photos nicely, or disconnected itself after each print. I say it’s in one of the top 3 worse apps out of my 1000+ apps on my iPhone. #MajorFAIL

Printing Error - Bad Firmware?

Only 2 out of the 5 in the sample pack printed correctly and those 2 looked great! But I bought a 50 pack of zink prints and now it says “Printing Error” every time I try to print. I’ve tried everything (I’m pretty tech savvy) to fix it but it won’t work. I noticed all the reviews from 1-2 years ago are really good but the recent reviews are terrible and it seems like everyone is having similar issues. It would be nice to download previous firmware to see if that’s what’s going on but I don’t think that’s possible either. Hopefully the next update with fix it I really had high hopes for this lil guy.

GREAT APP FOR PRINTER

Bad paper jam!!!

There’s a paper jam in my printer there is a simple solution for this u turn the printer on and it will push it out but none of the paper came out when I was printing so I wondered if there was a away to eject it but there in did is not this is very unfortunate cause I didn’t get this printer that long ago nor did I do anything wrong when ever I turn it on it just try’s to push more of it In and get it more stuck is there anything you can do to fix this?

Clunky

The app is clunky and a pain to use

Confused

Giving a 3 start because the printers itself is cool and compact. Pictures come out pretty decent but the app keeps freezing and shutting off when I search a specific album and then wanna print. Any advice?
