If you took the time to read our app description you would have known this before reading. This is a rather immature review, especially considering you’ve titled it “do not download” in capital letters and then proceeded to call the app “trash”, just because you weren’t aware there are in app purchases. The prices are extremely cheap, and if you didn’t want to pay then you could have just deleted the app instead of leaving a childish review that states what is in the app description.
You can’t see much without a Subscription

Hi Lachlan, we understand your concern, but we have ensured the subscription prices are more than reasonable. When you compare the price of our app which can cater for many weekend activities, to a daily coffee during the week, it is extremely cheap and can provide you with plenty of ideas and things to. Plus, you can use the app to claim rewards back and use them in your everyday life! We feel that a one star review is harsh if you truly believe the app is as good as you say, regardless of the cheap subscription. Feel free to contact us on Facebook and we can sort something out! ;)

I don’t think any of this should be free. But I’m not a fan of subscription services. Particularly ones where it’s difficult to tell if anything new is added.
I understand developing apps costs money, but I’d rather a one off purchase instead of an ongoing payment I have to keep making.
I also don’t like the idea that if I kept the app for 3 years it’d cost me nearly $100. That too much for an app. Then, Should I decide to no longer pay I would lose all access to the app I’d given money towards.
Particularly when there’s similar or better apps that cost less.
I think you’ve missed the mark on how you’ve handled the purchase of the app and believe it will and has cost you some users.
App looks to have potential but I’m not a fan of the subscription.

I had a suggestion on whether it was possiblefor perhaps anyone to add locations as well with the idea of it being reviewed? I know the app is only run by two people and still in it’s beginning state, however there is still so many cool and unique places that would be great to have on the app... A more I guess user-engaging atmosphere?

Loving this already!
Being a photographer this is a really useful tool for me to help with planning various shoots and just for plotting interesting places along the way or for impromptu road trips with my kids.
Can see a little bit of room for further development with the FB to app experience, for example, a place gets showcased on the FB page, it would be cool to have a link on there that’ll take you directly to it on the app.
I’ve messaged the guys at DAU and to be honest, they’re very responsive and their replies are detailed and engaging. Not just some sort of generic copy and paste response.
Really looking forward to seeing this app around for a long while and watching it develop over time.

Pay wall for anything
It’s unfortunate that anything you’d want to know about these locations is hidden behind a pay wall. The subscription service is a bad idea and in my opinion, this app should have been made purchasable instead of listed for free and offering in app purchases post-downloading.
It’s left me with a salty taste about this app and I would’ve loved to have recommended it to friends and family because this is PERFECT for me in particular, but it’s just poor decision making to make what is almost the entire app a subscription service.

We are sorry that you feel this way, but the little amount of money we charge for the subscriptions cover the hours of research and net-surfing we do to find all these locations, some being extremely hard to get an address for. We also have massive plans for the app which I can assure and let you know now, includes giving back to the subscribed users with rewards and vouchers etc!
