Live Guards Great - App Needs Improving
The live monitoring service is incredibe and has given me peace of mind for my commercial facilities.
However the app itself is clunky and needs major rework and improvement.

A year and no changes
This is our main security apparatus. It’s next level tech and the security itself is fantastic. But the app, to run it all, is absolute garbage. I have a iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the app doesn’t work natively with this model? Come on. I have to restart the app every time I need to go “back” a page? Come one. I have guard intervention notifications but those events are missing on my iPhone 14 but present on my iPad? Come on.

It’s a must
The best security system ever you can get. You will have peace of mind all the time, and nothing in the market can make you feel safter than Deep Sentinel.
App is NOT updated for iOS 17!
The buttons on the top row, INCLUDING the filter button are not tappable and the bottom row is barely visible. I happen to have BOTH the “Business” and “Home” apps for Deep Sentinel and they have the same problems!
It’s great, if it had full functionality.
The dev didn’t take into account every mobile platform, so with the iPhone Max you cannot click the “save” or “cancel” buttons when setting your privacy schedule or work hours.
I literally have to exit the app and restart it to get back to the Home Screen.
Soon as that’s fixed, I’ll give it 5*.

Update your app - screen sizing 101
This app has not been updated for newer iPhones. This means if you have an iPhone 14 pro for example which doesn’t have the top notch but rather the black floating oval (whatever it’s called) you will constantly get stuck in the app. When you try to hit the back arrow on the top left it will be impossible to hit or you’ll be going back to your last app! Only solution is a force close and start over - really Deep Sentinel! Do none of you have new iPhones lol. Same issues trying to tap the bottom right. It makes the app unusable. May just cancel my service - I moved to the Poe cams but with this app making navigation impossible - no thank you! I’ll go back to the other cams or switch out of DS all together. Oh, ps, the cams field of view on the POE is terrible also less than 90 degree - there are much better cams available POE. Only special sauce is the monitoring - once other players do this maybe they’ll step up to be great again!

Very expensive and unpredictable guard response
After installing the DeepSentinel system for a client, and having it running for around 1.5-2 years now, DeepSentinel has earned a three star rating. The service was excellent in the beginning, and guards would intervene on trespassers very often, and call the police often as well. As time went on, however, guards would simply look at trespassers on the property and do nothing about the crime being committed; they'd just review the footage and allow illegal acts to continue to be performed. When a client pays $1,000 / year for a security system subscription PLUS $1,500 for a camera system, you would expect the guard intervention integration to be perfected.
Pros:
- Siren, 2 way audio, and video footage work decently well. Video quality could be better.
- Cameras support 2.4GHz network connection for longer distances the Hub cannot reach.
- Live guards (when they intervene) scare off trespassers effectively.
- Company's communication is decent.
Cons:
- Cameras are expensive, yet cheaply made and three have gone bad in the span of 2 years (replaced for free, still inconvenient.)
- Cameras disconnect often even though they are less than 25-50 feet away.
- Cameras often disconnect from 2.4 GHz network and by default revert back to Hub connection.
- Camera mounts are cheaply made and break sometimes right out of the box, requiring a replacement.
- Guards do not intervene barely at all anymore, even though the property is always closed.
- Guards ignore trespassers frequently, even from multiple camera angles.
- Video quality is poor.
- App functionality is poor.
- When going back 6-7 months prior to search old footage, app crashes.
- AI deterrent turns itself off on its own every week or so.
- Camera speakers break and require replacement.
- Most of the programming / coding for the system is done in Taiwan.

Game Changer
Deep Sentinel for Business is a complete game changer for video surveillance. No longer is video surveillance footage used after-the-fact, and as evidence. Deep Sentinel has proactively prevented tens of thousands of dollars worth of theft for my clients. I highly recommend the service. And the people you work with are great too! Yes, that sounds like an infomercial. I’m that satisfied with this service and company.

Great service. Ok app.
I have this system both at home and business. The system and the concept are great but the app isn’t so stellar. You can’t rewind and only view the events, also cannot zoom either. Sometimes the live agent comes on quickly but sometimes they take a few minutes. Some agents are aggressive which I like, some agents are too friendly which Is not what I want from a security service.
