Can no longer alarm bike scout
Was really great but now the arming button on bike scout does nothing so can’t alarm from phone. Bag scout still has the ability however? How do I now alarm my bike from the app?
Constantly crashing
App operates as it should, apart from frequently crashing. Freezes when trying to get it connected and turn on or off alarms, and if accidentally do the search for device you are in for a long wait. Then it’s either a long wait for it to reset by itself or a phone restart. Very disappointing for what is a great security device.

Can’t even register !
Will contact knog to see whats going on . During registration I’m told that confirmation email does not match ! However it is entered identical !!
Useless Junk
App immediately demands creation of a login with no facility to use Apple ID and at the time of writing simply fails to create an account. This means the knog scout can’t be initialised making it useless junk.
Edit: since getting it going the device has worked flawlessly. I added a couple of stars but still resent pointless logins.

Don’t waste your time
Purchased 2 separate times the first one from Amazon and was never able to connect it to my my phone I would see it on the app, try to connect and it would not work after wasting 30 minutes it connected for just a moment then armed itself and disconnected, made its alarm noise until it ran out of battery at which point I promptly returned it because it became a useless noise machine.
The second one I got from a bike shop, this one I was able to connect with minimal issues at which point I discovered that it has pretty horrible range I thought that it would buzz my phone if the alarm went off but you basically need to be 20 feet from the alarm for this to be the case. Additionally the device died after like 10 days no water damage or anything as this was summertime it simply stopped working. Would be an awesome product if it worked, I would look elsewhere for bike security products.

Crickey!!
Spent hours, unsuccessfully adding a second Knog scout to the app, repeatedly using Knog’s instruction steps… OMG it shouldn’t be this difficult… and no tech phone support.
Ugly app icon
I’m a designer and I don’t like ugly app icons in my phone, this one annoys me and I have to hide it away.

Firmware failure
Once I got it charged & connected, it forced a firmware update, failed to restart and that was the end of my time with Knog Scout. It would never connect again. Factory reset did not work. Disappointed and definitely do not recommend.
All Scouts dropped off app
I have 4 scouts. All dropped off my app but showed on “Find My” Had to be deleted to follow reset procedures but now none can be added back. Impossible to get any answer from Knog to rectify or problem solve. Excellent device when working…
Aucune mise à jour possible
Avec la nouvelle application je ne reçois pas de confirmation par courriel donc je ne peux pas mettre à jour mon compte, donc ne peut utiliser le produit! Faites quelque chose svp!!!
