Let us use ApplePay to buy Subscription
This app is amazing. It helps track everything you need about a character, and you can use it to read dnd adventures. My only ask is that you let us use ApplePay to pay for the subscription, as it is how a lot of us pay for things. The fact that it redirects you to the website when you try to buy it is very bad for people who don’t trust the internet as much.

D&D Beyond Any Expectations
I have only been playing D&D for over a year now and the D&D beyond website and app have become essential for: content; building characters correctly; and helps you feel like a novice to someone who knows what they are talking about quickly.
My only gripe is in the app when you click on your character and got to the “Extra” sections. On the desktop site I can view my Owlbear companion (managing their health etc); but it does not appear on the app yet. It has said it is under development for some time. This would really complete my game paying experience perfectly. Please could you help by fixing this ASAP.
My celestial warlock would be eternally grateful.

Good, but static
The only things you can modify in the app are spells/abilities used and currency. Otherwise you have to have the app open the website in the app.
Unfortunately, the spells used sometimes hangs or forgets that you used a slot. Even worse, the currency does too. So you can’t trust that it will give you the same amount of money from one day to the next.
If you’re just viewing your character and rolling dice/saves/attacks, it works well enough (except for the spell issue above). It doesn’t show most custom modifications, though. So if you rename an item or add notes, they may not be visible unless on the website.

Not Very Intuitive
The app is a nice looking way to keep track of your character for 5e but it needs a lot of work. It’s such a pain to have to open your sheet on the website just about every time you want to manage experience, levels, items, etc. Trying to find things half the time brings my campaign to a crawl as I try to remember which combination of hitting random icons brings up the screen I want to be on. Then I accidentally hit outside the pop up box, closing the website and have to start all over. All of this should be included in the app proper. Dndbeyond keeps adding new features but fails to fix the fundamentals.

Just getting into the hobby, then 4 stars
I don’t want to buy a digital copy of books I already own so that I can use this app… I know you hear it a lot, but I just wanted to use this app as a bit of a character creator and maybe some of the other functions but all of the character creator stuff is locked behind buying the players handbook. It is a bit more frustrating that all of the classes and subclasses information can be found online already with very little effort for free anyway. I was actually going to buy the digital copy in the marketplace when I got an error, I would like to thank the server error for saving me some money.
I am sure this is great for someone getting into the hobby, but for people who have all the physical supply already it is a tall ask.
An idea could be to allow access for all of the feats, classes, sub-classes and whatnot to be available but to restrict the items or some other feature so people could still experiment with your character builder without immediately being hamstrung… at least put the player handbook stuff in there is it really that big a deal to hide the various cleric subclasses behind a paywall?

Improved with the update
Few teething problems, had trouble opening some content and missed the class tags on spells.
These both got fixed with the latest update so it’s 5*s from me for this super handy tool. It’ll never replace the books for me but when you’re at the table and you gotta check your players spells or looks something up real quick, it’s a real time saver. A must have for any Dm or player

Great app, just two issues
1) When using on offline, when I save a certain amount of money and and I join back into Online mode, the change is not saved.
2) If reading the Player Handbook and storage is full, a storage full error comes up ( which is not an issue) but if I clear storage then try to open the Handbook, the error message still comes up
Either way, great app and pretty useful when quick referencing my stats/ proficiencies during game

Expensive and clunky
You can buy a book for the same price. Why would I shell out that much to have it on an app?
Plus modifying your character you have to log on to a website. Why not through the app? Isn’t that what this is for?
Ultimately I will not shell out $40 for digital content that I pay as much for a physical copy of

No longer useable
Love d&d beyond but new combined app requires iOS 13 making all older devices most of my group had dedicated to gaming unable to use. We don’t want to roll dice just check rules and use character sheets and maybe combat tracker one day (I’m assuming the digital dice are the reason for incompatibility). Guess we will use the website through safari to access again also limits use of chrome extensions for beyond20, just overall disappointing.

Cool 😎
This app is amazing but there is just one problem that I have: it won’t let me create a campaign. Idk if other people have this problem but I just though I would say about it. Just remember it might not always work with the campaigns but if it does it’s fine. Get this app!:)!!
