Very good tracker for people like me

This app helps me very much because it tells me when I take a ekg on my Apple Watch if my heart is good or need some rest or do not feel good this app dose require a purchase in app to help get charts but there is really no reason for it if you have apple help.

Utterly unreliable

I don’t know where all the 5-star reviews are coming from, because my experience over several weeks with this app is there is virtually no correlation between its indications and what other apps in its genre suggest, let alone with how one might be feeling. Even after a fulsome night’s sleep leaves one waking full of vigour and ready for a day of strenuous exertion, this app more often than not will suggest you’re overdoing it and need to take it easy! I suppose I can see the attraction for those looking for any excuse they can find to shirk exercise, but if you’re serious about getting fit through progressive overload, this app is definitely *not* for you.

Thanks for your comments. Our algorithm takes a different approach to others in the market (you can read about it here: https://trainingtodayapp.com/blog/training-today-rtt-methodology-and-24-hour-comparative-data. This works great for many thousands of users, but everyone is different, and it may require some fine tuning for some. If you would like to contact us at Support@trainingtodayapp.com I would be more than happy to investigate. Regards, Ian

It simply works

Most of the other apps (like athletica) have more features currently, but this one the outputs seem more accurate and update quicker. Great measurement of systemic fatigue on a day to day basis when training hard and for catching illness early (if you’re a 0 but feel fine you’re likely early-stage illness).

Make sure to try different smoothing periods for accurate results, usually 1-2days is best it seems.

Pretty Good

Personal Calibration needed but once set it’s reasonable accurate and a good tracking, training and motivational tool

Great app

Great app. Love it for judging when to train.

Hi Thanks for the feedback - we haven’t seen this issue, could you contact us via support@trainingtodayapp.com and we can investigate?

Graphs need better labels

Interesting data but of I don’t use it daily it takes me a while to sort out graphs. Time may cure me off that problem. The tutorial is helpful.

You not supporting your app now?

There’s been 0 data on my paid version for days now. My watch is working great with my other apps. Junk.

Sounds good, but

Really useless. Either wrong algorithm or terrible execution. The recommendations all over the place. When fully rested, it recommends resting further. Recommends a full workout AFTER a heavy workout. I guess the moral of the story is: listen to your body. Avoid gimmicks

Slight differences

After the latest update the watch and phone now show different numbers, removing the app from the watch and re-downloading it seems to fix it but only for a day and then they don’t match again.

Inaccurate data for my age

Average HRV falls with age. This app doesn’t seem to know that. It tells me that I shouldn’t do anything strenuous today because my HRV is in the range for a fit person my age.

Yes, you can manually adjust the scale, but that seems like something the app should do automatically based on age.

Poorly designed. Poorly programmed.

Hi Geoff2 The Training Today app calculates your RTT score by looking at your HRV 60-day average in Apple Health and comparing it to a rolling 24hrs of data. You can review your HRV data in Apple Health app.  So any changes based on age should be reflected in that 60 day baseline. Hope that helps, Let me know if you have further questions via support@trainingtodayapp.com
