Be Careful Before Upgrading - Huge Step Backwards for Units
I teach engineering (dynamics and orbital mechanics) and used Soulver 2 a lot to quickly write up homework solutions — it was great for adding notes and writing out equations. However, Soulver 3 is a HUGE step backwards because of how it (doesn’t) handle units.
In Soulver 2, you could string together units like acceleration (meters/sec^2) and everything was fine. However, Soulver 3 does NOT allow you to create units like this and in fact returns an error. Which means that *nothing* that I created in Soulver 2 can be brought forward. And if I want to write up new solutions in Soulver 3, I have to ignore units.
I don’t know what changed under the hood regarding how Soulver handles units, but this is a huge disappointment to me. Because I can’t use Soulver 3. (And Soulver 2 crashes a lot in modern OS X versions.)

Wow!
What a great app and excellent developer! What do I love? — The app is a favorite of mine for almost a decade and just when I thought support was dropped, I came across the new version. I have the Mac and iPhone app and have also signed up for the AI assistant feature, which is actually quite good. What else do I like? — The developer has integrity, balancing the one time cost of the app and the option to help him to offer the AI services via a subscription. There is no pressure and even a “request refund” button. This is a rarity and such developers deserve our support.

Extremely useful
One of a kind app, nothing beats it! Use it to track my expenses and manage my finances among other things!
Indispensable Favorite
I've used this app for years, and it gets better and better with each release. It is incredible to be able to do something like take a date and add 10 days, type that out in natural language, and get an answer. It isn’t cheap, but good things rarely are.
Every mac should have this
This is the sort of utility that every mac should come pre-installed with. It's one of those things that once you know exists, you can't imagine working without. Many thanks to the developer - a really great implementation
Super useful
This is one of the most useful apps ever. Really good.
Expensive and the iPad version is not included.
I’m an enormous fan of Soulver 3 on iPhone—yes, it is expensive but it really is worth every penny. So it was incredibly disappointing to learn that, unlike most apps, the £14 purchase on iPhone does not include the iPad app which costs an additional £20.
Response from developer
Most productivity apps are subscription based these days. For single purchase apps like Soulver, Things, etc, with very long paid upgrade cycles (15 years for Soulver 2), it's standard to charge per platform. This model also makes Soulver cheaper for users who only want the iPhone version, for example.
Absolutely Excellent
The absolute best calculator app bar none. I have been using this app on my MacBook for years it’s fantastic, now it’s finally on iOS I couldn’t download it quick enough. If you only do one thing Today do yourself a service and get this app you will not regret it. HAPPY DAYS 😀
Finally!
Happy to finally see this on iPhone again. Nice to be able to see all the calculations I do on my macbook, but the number keyboard is not really the best UI/UX wise. Wish it was more spaced out, bigger.
