Passed first time solely thanks to this app!
I had been using the ‘training’ sessions to revise casually when I had a while to go until my test. The week it came around I panicked and went through every section in the ‘James May Way’ and completed it 100%. The achievement badges were a nice touch and my confidence grew and I began to think I was in with a chance.
Took the test this morning, and passed with great results! The only thing I’ll mention is that in the hazard perception section, I was so used to clicking on the actual hazard in the app that when it came to the real thing, the fact that you just had to click in general threw me off a bit - but it was easy to adjust.
A simple but thorough, highly effective app. I owe my pass to it entirely! :)

Congratulations and thanks for your review.
Fun and interesting!
Not nearly as dreary as reading the book! It is an entertaining way to study for driving tests! It works too! The test was much easier thanks to time spent on the app. Thanks!!!
Amazing App!
I had to retake my theory because it ran out after covid and they wouldn’t extend it [Since a lot of lessons were halted due to the pandemic] so I decided to study for it using this app. It is amazing! It goes through each question that you’ve gotten wrong and explanations of answers. I wasn’t able to continuously study using this app because of work and uni but for the little journey time that I had, I spent around maybe three or four hours on it before I had to take my test. The day before, I took multiple mock tests on this app and when I went in to do my theory - a lot of those questions I practiced from the mock were on the actual test! And so, confidentially and under half an hour of the test, I passed. If you’re looking for something quick and easily explained, this app is great to use for the theory test. Far more better than the DVSA Theory App that I used for my last test.

Amazing review! Congratulations and thanks.
Feeling ready ( and I passed)
Amazing, feeling very confident! ( this part was before I passed) Passed first time with 47/50 And on hazard perception 46/75 This app was a game changer as it gave me the chance to complete all 14/15 videos and have an overall score out of 75 without break and most other theory apps give a score per video whilst you had to exit and prepare the next. This way it prepared me for how it would be in my test which was extremely helpful as the pressure in the scenario could have been too much if it hadn’t already practiced in that scenario. I had took many mock tests and majority of the questions if not all had been ones I’ve seen whilst them on the app, just in a slightly different format ( on majority) even a few had the exact same. I completed my test in under 40 minutes due to how confident I felt on the multiple choice sector. Overall 5/5 and would recommend to a friend, going to buy the practical package too due to my success!

The Best Driving Theory App
The personable approach of this app coupled with the down to earth and straight forward no nonsense teaching style of James May is what puts this app above the rest, allowing me to pass first time.
Where other apps feel faceless or lack personality that aids your learning, this app thrives while featuring more personal videos that actually explain topic areas clearly, enhanced by a dash humour that is, James May - our man in… the… van?
The app is well developed and designed too. My only suggestion at the time of writing would be to add more hazard perception videos, as practice eventually turns into a memory game. However this is probably more a limitation of what of the official pool of videos they’re allowed to use and will is a natural problem depending on how often you practice. That said, there’s still a decent amount.
Common sense is the theme on which this app stands and unlike others that actually comes across here (not just because James literally says it). It’s this understanding that allows you to stop overthinking about these questions and more likely to not only learn them but remember them while on the road, because after all, it is only common sense.
So yeah if you couldn’t tell, I highly recommend this app.

Really good app
Really good app, helped me pass my theory. Really liked the sections, easy app and nice UI, never encountered any bugs.
I have a couple of suggestions that I wish were available in the app, but this isn’t me saying it’s bad. Just some potential ideas for devs to make it even better.
- Ability to select ‘warm up questions’ and the shorter ‘3 hazard perception clips’ more than once, rather than just ‘once’ per round of four in the training plan
If you just want to do the warm up questions, or just the shorter 3 random hazard perception clips, you have to go through the entire four sections of training. Wish there was an option to just to select these individually somewhere.
I like having the three random hazard perception clips, rather than just clicking through a category and selecting a clip myself. Same with the random shorter quizzes.
- More variation in road sign testing
Wish there was more variety in the sign testing area. In the sense of, if you want questions like ‘where would you find this sign’, you have to get it through the random quiz or mock test.
Again, just suggestions! But great app 👍

Many thanks for your review. Thanks also for your suggestions, all noted.
This helped me pass first time
This app helped me pass my theory test first time. It’s simple to use, straight forward and doesn’t make any of the criteria more complicated. There are multiple ways to learn on this app whether that being the training plan that gives you a little bit of everything as a small reviser. There was “The James May way” which I found to be very useful as it was cut into sections those being simplified topics of what would come up in the real test. I found this method the most useful as I could happily focus on the section I struggled with the most. The mock test which puts you in a scenario like you would be in the real thing but it’s just a mock test and nothing counts. Yes this app may have been a huge help and that is why I passed first time but like anything out there that you want to achieve, you have to put the time and effort in to make it count. Doesn’t have to take a whole day, could just be 15 minutes or an hour a day. Over time that you’ll really benefit and you’ll thank yourself. Really good app, would recommend it to anyone. The videos are straight to the point and give off a very reassuring tone. And it’s developed by James may, a literal legend so why wouldn’t you? He knows his stuff.

Can’t verify
I can’t get past the verification step as I have a number with a different starting number that is not +44. If I try to type my number anyway, I never get sent the verification. Please fix this🙏
Brilliant app - Passed first time
This app is absolutely brilliant. I was recommended it by a police officer just a few days before my test.
I wasn’t hopeful on passing because I only revised for around 3 hours in total before my actual test. Took my test today and passed, with 47/50 on the multiple choice.
Without this app, I can guarantee you I wouldn’t have done so well. It is designed very well. The interface itself is visually appealing and not some boring two tone screen. It is very well sectioned out such as ‘Train’, ‘The James May Way’ and Road signs etc. All of which entail a different way of learning.
The training is a layered way of learning and it tests a whole range of different questions, need-to-knows and hazard perception. The James May Way allows you to really focus on your weak points to ensure you aren’t left with a poor understanding of them.
You can also access tens of videos of hazard perception in each category for example ‘Bigger Roads’ or ‘Dangerous conditions’. You can revisit the ones you aren’t sure on whenever you like.
All in all, this app was extremely helpful and it is definitely worth the money. If it helped me pass first time with around 3 hours of using it, I’m sure it’ll help you too.

Hazard perception tests are not fit for purpose
It’s impossible to know when to click the screen upon spotting a hazard. When you get your feedback, it talks you through the route, but doesn’t specifically tell you what qualifies as a hazard and what doesn’t, nor does it tell you which hazards you have and haven’t identified. There isn’t even a counter on screen to show you the hazards accruing as you go. Often, I have spotted all of the hazards identified and the speaker has the same thought process as I do, which I’ve clicked, though clearly it was too soon or too late. No indication given about when you should click upon seeing the hazard. My outcomes in this portion of the test is all over the show, but I have no guidelines for improvement. Absolutely no idea how to get better at this part, though my performance on the other sections are improving steadily.
