Doesn’t work!!!

You can click on memories but it will not open them to replay them. It creates themes you tap on and then greys them out so you can’t make a combination and continue in the game. I had to restart the entire game three times just to get stuck because I can’t replay a memory to select new themes or the themes will not combine. Would have been nice to be able to try this useless material before paying. Don’t buy this!

Response from developer

Thanks for your interest in Of Two Minds and downloading the game, and we're sorry that you had this experience! We'd like to answer your questions in hope of resolving your issue: (1) to view a Memory you've already seen again, you can click on the 'Memories' tab in the upper left and flip the pages to find a Memory of your choice; (2) to combine Themes and discover new Memories, you must select two themes and then click the glowing square box on the bottom left page after selecting your two themes. This is to allow you to change your selection before initiating the next step in your journey; (3), any theme that is greyed out cannot be combined with any other themes currently available, this is to protect the player from initiating searches that have no (or no new) results. You can also watch the tutorial again at any time via the Settings menu. Please contact us at burgeonandflourish.com/contact if you continue to have issues.

Interesting, Story Driven

This is such a unique game. I love that each character has their own narrative track. Similar to the feeling of binging a tv show, I wanted to collect all of the themes so that I could watch more of their experiences. Also love that it's retro in design and how the music and sound design move it along with buoyancy so that the themes don't feel too heavy.

Interactive way to learn psychoanalysis

I found this to be such an engaging way to learn about psychoanalysis. It reminded me of a few of my classes in social work school where we used cases studies to learn these key terms and themes. This was definitely was a way more fun and engaging way to learn! Picking themes in real time during the scene kept my focus and then my curiosity was on fire as I tried different combinations of themes to uncover new scenes. I recommend this app to anyone curious to learn more about psychoanalysis!

Unique, thought-provoking and engaging gem of an FMV

No one could ever call me a “gamer”, but boy do I love puzzles — and I’ve always been the type of couch co-op partner of a gamer who loves cut-scenes, so Of Two Minds definitely hooked me from the start. It’s got a little Pokémon element (I couldn’t resist “trying to catch ‘em all” with the themes and concepts as they floated past my screen on my initial plays of the game), mixed with an almost “whodunnit?” vibe that almost made me rush past some of the wonderfully quirky moments being displayed in each of the scenes as I tried to “solve” the puzzle. But the true joy is in the experience. Luxuriating in the smallest moments of each memory. Catching new details each time and really getting a feel for how to “play” the game — learning which matched themes would earn me a new cut-scene memory to dig into. The interface is slick and easy to navigate, the gameplay is smooth, and the style makes it a great option for pick-up and put-down play whenever you have a few spare moments (I usually like to game on my commute on the subway, so this is ideal). Have to give a shout out to the amazing score and soundtrack, which is delightful and definitely sets the tone for the game as a whole. Kudos to this first offering from new-comer to the gaming scene Burgeon and Flourish — definitely give this one a download and a play-through, you won’t regret it!

Absolutely fascinating

A game for those interested in the mind, in story-telling, in psychoanalysis.

Unique and cerebral

A unique kind of fun, and different from every other app on your phone. Lovingly sound designed and scored. You’ll find yourself forgetting about every other game.
