Refreshing way to search !
Love the interface for this app, big fan of the very easy top level information such as logos for tech stacks so you can immediately see what is relevent to you and skim past.
You can tell they put some decent thought into the UX and flow of the design. 👌
Four stars because I'm loving the app but missing one star as it tends to close sometimes when I click different things, perhaps some memory issue or something with the iOS version? Seems like it'll be something easy to iron out.

Very intuitive interface
I just downloaded this from a referral and I noticed that the interface was not only beautiful but also very intuitive (I know how much it takes to accomplish something this good as a mobile developer myself). My best part is the job filtering. The ones I’ve personally used are the filtering by company, by the framework or tool and the area of focus. Hope to land a job from here soon!

Finally a job app that cuts the faff
I don't know how they managed it, but there just aren't spammy job ads in this app. When you filter by technology, salary, location etc, the job listings that come up actually match your criteria. You can block companies you don't like, and hide your profile from your current employer. You can remove a job you don't want to apply for, and it stays removed. It makes searching for jobs much simpler!

Very fancy UI & very informative job listings
The app UI is very intuitive and easy to use. I like how they present information about all the companies, what stack they’re using and how they match your skillset.
Job listings not only have role requirements but what the role involves and sometimes it even already has a plan for your first couple months so you have a better idea of what you’re getting yourself into.
I haven’t heard back from any companies yet but I only applied for a couple jobs a few days ago.
What I’d suggest improving is the skills selector from a single value dropdown to a multi value dropdown or some other element that lets you select multiple skills at the same time as it can be quite time consuming if you want to select more skills.
There seems to be an issue with the Apple ID integration, they are aware of it so hopefully it will be fixed soon 💪. So remember to create your account with your email as that works 100%.
Overall I think this app has a good potential!

A tool to have
I have a really good time using Haystack, not necessarily to find a new job but understand a bit better how different industries work and what is it that big or small businesses looking for, their requirements on knowledge and technologies and their cultures.
It give people that they start their careers a better inside view and understanding of required skills, and allows them to focus on areas that would be beneficial for both themselves and employers across industries.

Haystack is a well laid out, easy to navigate, high quality app that you would expect from a tech recruitment company. Buts it’s it straightforward no messing around focus on the tech industry that stands it out from the others.
There’s loads of really helpful practical guides and support help make sure you sell yourself and your skills to help you find the next perfect fit on your career journey. Plus the supporting staff have been lovely when they’ve contacted me while applying for a role.

Excellent experience as a candidate and as an employer
Around a year ago I was searching for a new job as I thought I’d reached the end of my progression at my current company, and Haystack as a platform was so easy to use and helped me to effortlessly find jobs that match my skillset and salary range.
It turns out that there was opportunity for me at my current company, so I didn’t end up leaving in the end.
Fast forward a year, and I’m now going through the process of using Haystack to hire for a new member of staff to join our Software Development team. Had an initial call with Chris, the CEO/Co-Founder, which was enjoyable in itself, then since then it’s been a speedy and smooth process, and we’re really excited to access the talent pool.
It turns out that there was opportunity for me at my current company, so I didn’t end up leaving in the end.

Haystack is excellent for anyone working in tech or wanting to work in tech to find out more about the roles that are available. You have the options to select your tech stack and find roles suited to you. With this in mind, you can filter jobs for your preferences and actively engage with opportunities. There are no shortage of opportunities or roles to apply for. In the same vein, there’s no shortage of quality roles too! You can even get tips on how to improve the quality of your profile so recruiters can find you more easily and you’re more likely to secure interviews and roles. I spoke to Paul from Haystack who highlighted areas of my profile that needed improving and uncovered areas of the app I wasn’t yet aware of. Couldn’t recommend any more 5*****!!! 🙏💯
