Psychologists (professional and hobbyists), teachers, and others who need to measure response times in various scenarios such as in distraction and stress environments - use mReactions to create tests to measure response times to audible or textual stimuli, with the number of stimuli, a repeating or singular stimuli, and the time variance between the stimuli (including within a range) with a maximum response time all set on a per-test basis. The test results provide a basic analysis of the results (mean, minimum, maximum, standard deviation and variance of the response times) with the ability to export the test results as a standard csv file for further analysis and aggregation. The responses to the stimuli are made by either touching the device's screen or through the use of a bluetooth enabled device which can emulate a "space bar" press.

Reviews of mReactions

Great for research

I used this application for a psychology experiment to measure reaction time during a standardized laboratory task. There is nothing comparable on the App Store for RT data, and desktop applications cost a fortune ($300+). The user interface is intuitive and the basic stats summary/data export options make experimental data collection very easy. I like that there is the option to have both audio and tactile stimuli. Great for psychology/cognitive load researchers and hobbyists alike!
