You can type tasks and... nothing else.

The description lists many interesting features, but once you download the app all you can do is to add tasks —something that any tasks management app will let you do, and for free (including Apple Reminders).
I'd be happy to pay for a premium version of this app if the functions listed in the description worked well. However, I need to be able to test them—at least for one day!

Recovering procrastinator

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I haven't come across anything that gives feedback quite this way and I've tried an embarassingly-many different productivity applications. Coming out of the gate, the app's UI has been easy, and the design balances Mac design conventions with their own twist. The free version does not allow users to use two of their power moves of tagging - which I'm a little shocked, and pinning. I would probably pay their fee 1x but probably not annually for what they are asking considering good-enough productivity apps are a dime a dozen.

Thank you for for feedback! At some point the developer needs to make money to keep the development running. There's the choice of paying once or pay as a subscription. The user can choose :)

First Day of Week

Overall, good app. Needs first day of week option. Keep it up! 👍🏼

Needs a few tweaks but great!

I've been looking for an app that will allow me to switch over from Todoist. This almost hits the marks. The one thing that really keeps me from making the big switch is being able to type in the day and time and hitting enter and it automatically add it to the specific day and time stamped as well as type out the list or tag and it automatically tag that task. But its a great looking app!

I would like to be able to choose my calendar view sorted by 1 or 2 month view / week view / day view.

On the Mac, the app seems a little sluggish. It hasnt crashed but it takes some time to switch between sections. Also, the attachment section of your task, i'm unable to type out my notes as i am with the ios app. Also, when you click your photo attachments, you can't enlarge them when you're looking at them.

You've got a good app here in production but I would really love to see all these changes because im itching to switch over completely from Todoist! Keep up the good work.

Thank you for your feedback! Will try to work on those issues. The automatic suggestion of dates, tags and lists is already included. For dates just type things like "tomorrow" or the specific date, for tags use #tag and for lists use @list.

Annoying tad bit

How do I get rid of the “use planny” task that appears on my to-do list every single day? It is really bothering me.

Love the idea

The layout is great its exactly what ive been wanting as a calender app. the one area where i would try to impove is the app responsiveness on (intel) mac. sometimes when you mark off things from the to-do or switch betweeen the diffrent section on the left, the app seems to have a hitch but aside from that its a dope concept

Logo Change

The logo change was a bad idea. I want a planner that takes my tasks seriously. The wolf logo was professional and it communicated to me the efectiveness of the app. This new logo looks like its a game app for little japanese girls. One cannot take the logo seriously. I feel like I'm wasting my time on this app with such a ridiculous logo.

Are you a single working mom? Get this app!

Before using Planny 5, I was the Henry VIII of planning apps...they never met all my needs as a busy single mom to two girls and three pets who works remotely as a consultant for an international company in six time zones while trying to fix-up a house. This app does it all - family, work, home and personal calendars, with task lists integrated so they actually happen and support for those aspirational routines (drinking water as I type this). PLUS analytics so you can acutally see the impact of binge watching Brigerton on your productivity (and decide if it is or is not worth it...discuss...). This is analytics done right. THANK YOU Planny developers!

Thank you a lot for the review! I'm just one independent developer and hope Planny helps you in the future. ☺️

Attachments on MacOS

I'm enjoying the app so far, but for some reason note attachments can only be added on iOS. This means I have to jump back and forth between my phone an mac, which is not a time saver.

I see potential

I'm rating it one stars at the moment because it is buggy on the mac and iphone.

everytime I try to add a task to a day that is not the current day, it adds it then instantly puts me back on the current day.
(to make it clear) It put's the task on the day you want it but then it moves your UI back to the current day.
I find that annoying because I want to add a subtask to the that task, so I have to go back to the day I added the task click add subtask.

Then when I add the subtask to the task it does the same thing if it is not on the current day. You can't name the subtask if its is not on the current day, it will leave the name blank. Can't even edit the blank name.

The only time you can add the name to the subtask is if you add a subtask to a task that is in the current day.

To Sum it up: Things that need to be fix: dont automatically go back to current day after I add a task or a sub task. When it needs to add the name of the subtask to the name I put it on

I also tried it on the iphone I got similar results too,

Also please add edit feature on the subtask, I could have sworn I edit a subtask once already but I had no success on doing it again (unless this was a bug)

I hope these things get address soon, because the app looks like it would be a nice app.

I'm normally not a person who writes reviews but I will be more then happy to change my review once these problems get fix.
