Terrible

I’m sure it’s good for European travellers but for UK travellers it isn’t.
We and other passengers couldn’t check-in using the app prior to arriving at the airport 36-24 hours before.
Therefore anyone who didn’t check in online (for free) had to check in at the airport check-in desk & were subject to a €15 charge for each passenger.

As you can imagine on a flight returning to Gatwick for Turkey a lot of passengers where unhappy having to pay because the app and website wouldn’t let you check-in online and had to pay to check in. This hugely delayed check in & baggage drop off, meaning we had to run through passport control and get to the boarding gate 20 minutes to departure…even after getting to the airport 3 hours before.

Awful

Probably the WORST app I have ever used. You can’t check in multiple people as it gives everyone the same details, but also won’t let you check people in separately. Once you have managed to check in online, it doesn’t let you download your boarding pass. This is definitely all because they want you to give up and pay the fee for not checking in online. Disgusting.

If I could leave zero stars I would

This app is a complete disaster. The fact that there are old reviews that are exactly the same as mine all these years later tells all. Tried to check in, let me go through the whole process then came up with an error at the very last page. Thanks for nothing

Useless

The app is effectively useless. You can’t check in multiple passengers because it won’t let you input more than one set of passport details so have to resort to using a mobile browser instead. Then you can’t access your boarding cards in the app, you just get a blank screen. The point of an app is to make the usage experience better than using a browser, a feat this app manages to completely avoid!

So many error messages

Had to default to the browser to check in online. Shocking experience with this app. Can’t even add passport details without getting error messages. As a company - if you are going to charge people money to check in at the airport, then make sure your online services do the job properly.

If the flights as bad as the app were in for hell!

Tried the app as a last ditch effort to reserve seats using Amex. Their website says they accept Amex… but when it comes to paying it isn’t accepted on the web or via phone. As I can’t enter a return date for my holiday I can’t manage my booking via the app.

Useless all round. Regretting booking now.

What kind of joke of an app is this?!

Less then 24 hours before my flight - I can’t check in, my name is not found, confirmation number DOES’T work, E-ticket number DOESN’T work. I’m in Turkey. Not in a comfort of my home country where everyone speaks my language. What do you think I’m supposed to do? Fix it!!!

Can’t access return date

Easy to log in and nice clear interface, but you cannot input your return date to get boarding pass, it keeps defaulting to leave date. Please fix!!!

Offer the basic please

It is mind-blowing that a airline app like this can't display your booking when you are logged in.
You have to enter your booking number and last name to find it.
Not much inspiration from the two mother companies Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa.
Please enter this century.

Stopped working

After the latest update the update stopped working. I tweeted the problem by mentioning them but received no feedback. For an airline that does serve a niche, they are horrible with IT and their social media response.

Alternatives to SunExpress
