This was a lot harder than the first edition & I had to use the clues more than I would have liked. Some o& the clues were a bit more esoteric for the more practical minded.deeeejr
Very long. Some puzzles solutions make no sense but...
Some clues are impossible such as the door with the two glass inserts and the clock hands as a clue. So many scenes I had to use the help a lot but the help is very good so not too frustrating. I would definitely recommend despite these issues.Tiger3467

Updating from my previous review - thanks to the developer for the speedy fix to the hints bug; the hints now work perfectly again. You’re awesome!
But it appears that the hints - which I *paid* for - are now gone. The “link” to a video, which is offered instead, doesn’t even go to a video for this game - the video appears to be for Blackthorn Castle, not Blackthorn Castle 2. And even if it was for the correct game, sending the player outside the game, rather than within, is *not* an improvement - it’s an annoying distraction. If this is the change intended to make the hints free, then I want the extra money I paid for hints *back.*
However, what I’d really prefer is to have the in-games hints I paid for, back. Help me with that and I’ll bump my rating up to 5 stars. :-)Show lessfidhlear59

Another really diversionary game from Syntaxity- my sister and I play these together remotely and always have a great time. Lovely setting, challenging assortment of puzzles etc. Can’t wait for the next one!Jz212

The game is good. The puzzles are good too. You need some advanced type of memory to get around the game and the problem there is you have to refer to the map all the time, but that is the only drawback.The Great Groke
Super fun and addicting
I would have given it 5 stars if they didn’t require another $1 to move quickly between scenes. I already paid for the app; quick travel should be free in my opinion.Ndgb
It started off with some obscure puzzles...
The game started off with some obscure puzzles that were not very intuitive to operate. Once I got past those I was able to work out just about everything else and the game was more fun during the last 2/3s or so.

Worthwhile
Awesome game! I bought this game for myself and gifted it to my best friend at the same time so we could play together. Lasted us a week and was fun working through the harder parts as a team.Jansy K
