A fantastic resource

I love Recovery birthdays App
it is a great tool for Sponsorship
well done

Widget

Main reason I downloaded this app is for the chip widget. I’ve searched other apps and none have it.

Response from developer

I just tried it and it works for me. Why not contact me via email so I can work with you to solve the issues. The iOS widget that displayed a coin or key-tag gets its date from the My Contact Card tab (4 of 5).

Widget

The main purpose I downloaded this app was for the widget however I cannot get the widget chip to sync with my contact so it constantly says 24hrs when it’s not. Guess I’ll be deleting.

Good Idea but Too Invasive

Good idea but too invasive when it comes to our Contacts’ privacy. It would be better if we could only share our own sobriety date with other app users forum style so that we can support and congratulate each other. Thanks but I’ll pass in it’s current format.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback and I assure you the main priority I had when creating this app was the privacy of your contacts data. Recovery Birthdays can be used in a limited capacity without the user allowing access to contacts data. That will just means you cannot add recovery birthdays dates to your current contacts and thus the birthday will not appear in your phone book. If you delete the app, you will lose all the data. The app shares no data to the outside of your device. As stated on the App page for the download “No data collected”. Recovery Birthdays stores locally within the app only contact names, dates for anniversaries related to the recovery birthday and a single image for the contact. When you delete the app the data is deleted also. Recovery Birthdays does not contain any advertising or use third party services that may collect information about you or your contacts. Anonymity is the spiritual foundation for our recovery and providing a forum style group to share recovery birthdays could jeopardise the privacy of recovering alcoholics and addicts by sharing sensitive data online.
