  • Fantastic

This is an updated review based on the recent update. So, what ran horribly now runs great at a smooth 60fps, controllers no longer freeze the game and you now get explanations for shards. Every problem I had with the game at launch is now fixed and it’s as great here as it was on PC and console.
  • Optimized Amazingly

I went into this not expecting much but I’m impressed. The directional controls work wonderfully for mobile and the game plays pretty smoothly. Nice!
  • Console quality game

This game is great and plays better than the Nintendo switch however the touch controls need some refinement to become more responsive then it would be perfect just as symphony of the night before it.
  • IGNORE the bad reviews and nitpicking

Do the touch controls leave a little bit to b desired-yes....is the frame rate a little slower than the other versions of this game-yes.....but honestly WHO CARES?!?!? This is an amazing game from legendary developers released on IOS for us to enjoy so quit all the whining and nitpicking, this game is overall AWSOME and frankly what else do we have to get our “castlevania fix” ???? I’ll tell u-no where....sure SON is on IOS now and it will forever hold its place in gaming history but Bloodstained blows it away in every sense - minor issues and all.....so from one massive castlevania fan to the devs of this game- THANK U....THANK U FROM THE ABSOLUTE BOTTOME OF MY HEART FOR BRINGING THIS TO IOS !!!!

  • After update made it crash

I been playing since it was released. Played well no problems. Now since update it will randomly crash. I’m on a iPhone 11 Pro Max so it’s no way the phone isn’t powerful enough. It played fine before. Will up my review once it is fixed.
  • Why?!

A great game ruined by garbage on-screen controls. Jumping is just too inconsistent when also trying to run, which is a main mechanic for platformers. It’s just not fluid enough. While running, tap on shoe (jump) and watch Miriam maybe jump to her max height… or find her only able to jump a quarter to half her max height and fall from a higher region of the map/castle (if you’ve even made it up there initially) and you have to start that climbing process all over. This isn’t Chutes n’ Ladders, and where in the world are the QA testers before this mess gets sent out for folks to purchase and play?! For heaven’s sake…. Unplayable until they fix this to save self from frustration. 🤦🏾‍♂️😩

  • Decent Ported game

I had this game on the switch and I believe it plays better on here for the most part. Only issue for me is that I noticed depending on what weapon I have equipped, it can be difficult to break lamps with the jump and attack button. The timing is too complicated without physical buttons. Developers maybe you can squeeze in a additional button in between jump and attack to make this easier to achieve. Thanks!

  • Crashes at load screen most of the time

I love this game what little I have played of it but it crashes before I can even start the game most of the time. Hope there is a fix soon, really want to continue playing.
  • Wonderful port, just needs some control fixes

Jumping in particular is very difficult, rarely works as intended, please allow us to reposition the buttons (and resize them) and ensure that the feedback is registered when pressed. Other than that, amazing having this running on my iPhone!
  • Pretty good for the price

I own this on the PS4 and the switch already but had to try this version as well. It’s a good game but it does have some slowdown and the touch controls leave a little to be desired. I can’t really blame that on the game seeing how it’s a port of a game that is meant to use a controller. I don’t like how when you use a controller the touch icons are still on the screen. All in all it’s a good game it just has a few little issues that are holding it back from a higher score.
