Just what’s needed

It’s not super fancy, but few apps let you track saturated fat as a primary target and this makes it reasonably easy once you set up recipes and your most used foods. I live that it’s not a subscription service.

Many thanks for this review. Glad you like the one-off fee with free updates model. We release these free updates every couple of months to improve functionality and to incorporate improvements in the technology as they become available.

Please add more food types

I love the app because of the ease of use and value. No recurring charges, yay! Scanning labels is fast and easy. I tend to cook from scratch and have found the list of ingredients is not as robust as I would hope. Can you add things like sablefish, Alaska wild salmon, cilantro, jalapeño and other peppers, various nuts and seeds. Thanks

Response from developer

Great that you love the app, but surprised at your comment about foods to add to the database, because most of them (red, green & yellow peppers, cilantro, and a range of commonly used nuts and seeds) are already in the database. The only exceptions are sablefish, jalapeño and Alaskan wild salmon (though the database includes Atlantic wild salmon). We used to include sablefish but removed many of the less commonly used fishes many years ago to include other more common foods to avoid making the database too long and cumbersome. The app does provide the opportunity to customise the app by adding additional foods through the "Add food" tab. Then add the nutrients as listed on USDA FoodData Central at https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/. Please do contact us at support@firstlinemedicalcommunications.co.uk if you need assistance adding foods to the app.
