Love Caption Call

Poor hearing caused me to retire early 14 years ago from a job I loved because I had difficulty dealing with clients over the phone. Had caption call been available then I would have worked another 10 years. Tried the clear caption land line at home but it cannot compare to Caption Call. I can’t understand why anyone with a cell phone does not use your service. Especially nice that you can keep conversations for future use.

Support for automatic language switch

Hi, I just started using the app, and I noticed that there are two languages that I am familiar with. I only had a bit a problem having to switch languages every time if im speaking with a spanish speaker, and switching with an english speaker. I just wish there was a way where the call could recognize english or spanish and switch the language of the captioning or having both languages in the same call. Overrall, the app looks simple and very versatile.

HOLY MOLY

I was sitting in my audiologist waiting room for the thousandth time. I had seen the CaptionCall phone but assumed that it was only offered as a landline phone. Out of boredom I decided to read the brochure and there was an app version. I THOUGHT I had some issues with the app, but it turns out the issue was actually my sister 😭 Either way, I got first hand experience on customer support which was amazing (thank you Jerry 😁 I think it’s Jerry anyways…). I will not have the issue of not hearing names anymore though cause I have this app now!!!

It’s Wonderful

It’s wonderful, I can now talk to family members and take care of business on the phone I was really in trouble, I couldn’t do anything my hearing is gone . Thanks to this wonderful program for people like me can communicate again, It’s so wonderful…. I Thank them… So much God Bless Them.. they have helped me…

Best captioning application or tool I’ve experienced

I’ve used a number of captioning apps and technology as I’m profoundly deaf in both ears. The other apps and technology I had problems with delayed and inaccurate captioning. This app is amazing and makes life so much easier as I know longer have to ask my husband to make phone calls for me. This app captions both ends of the conversation quickly in real time and accurately so I no longer have to tell the person on the other end to hold while I read or decipher what was captioned.

Love the app

Absolutely love the app, it’s so helpful in my daily life. I used to avoid talking on the phone until I had the app. Only a couple issues. The first one being caller ID doesn’t show who exactly is calling most days until I check the app. The second issue is when using call forwarding blocked numbers still get thru. It’s kind of inconvenient. Overall great app to use if they could fix these things it deserve 5 stars from me.

Bad for interview calls

This app is very frustrating. They often don’t let you enable the sounds to come out like they assume that every user is Deaf without a cochlear implant or hearing aids. Both captions and sounds should be provided as one of the options because you don’t know if it’s not working or the person isn’t saying anything if the captions take too long to get typed. You might accidentally interrupt the person or they might think you stopped answering them while waiting for them to say something. It can cause a lot of miscommunication. This app isn’t helpful when you need to make important phone calls for someone that wants to interview you for a job.

Update: People who work for this app are very helpful, great, and caring. They will reach out to you when you bring up a problem in the reviews. If the speaker and louder sounds don’t work, you can turn off the speaker and reclick it to make it work. People are working on improving this.

WOW THIS IS GREAT

For months I had been having trouble hearing job phone interviews trying to understand their questions! I tried caption mate but didn’t work well and so complicated and I found this wonderful app! I set up account quick and efficient and easily set up the call and 30 seconds later, easy to use! Many thanks for making this wonderful app!
