I have tried to use this app now multiple times at my local Raising Cane’s (#772 in Dayton, OH) without success. I order through the app and receive my email receipt. I leave the app open (as instructed by the app) and drive to the store and arrive at the store by or slightly after the pickup time. My order has not been there for pickup and when I go to the register and ask about the order they have no idea of the order and had not seen it come through their system. The store (#772) has done an excellent at handling this each time and I have been able to get my food, but it is very frustrating not knowing if I will even have food when I get there. This is NOT the fastest way as all the advertising materials state. I love Raising Cane’s and their food and was extremely excited when I saw the app, but have only been disappointed since.

  • Horrible doesn’t work like it say it will

I order everything I want and pick a time in the future get there exactly at 5:45 and nothing is on the order rack for my food. Then wait 10 min and ask for my order they haven’t even started it and have to wait even longer. Then get my order handed to me and they didn’t give my drinks I ordered and I have to go back up to ask for them. It’s just dumb I order for a specific time and on the app it says the fastest way to get your order is by walking in to pick it up and it just took more time than it would take by just ordering in person.

  • Confusing user experience

I pick a pickup time an hour in the future, I put in my credit card number, I click pay, it processes for like a minute with that dumb disco ball, but then nothing happens. It just takes me back to the screen where I just clicked pay. Did it work? Do I need to click pay again? Did I get charged? Where is the confirmation screen?
Then I scroll back up and see a hidden error message and it’s like “where experiencing a high order volume and cannot immediately start your order”. What does that mean? Are you going to start it later and then tell me to pickup later? Did I get charged? I’m so confused. The error message should be a pop up (not hidden) and it should say “error, we cannot fulfill the time you have selected. You have not been charged and your order has not been received. Please pick a new time and resubmit your order and payment.” See how that’s much less confusing? Also, why even list the time as an option if the app is just going to say that time is not available.

Update to the below review - I no longer need to login, nor do I need to complete the captcha. I also noticed Apple Pay is now available, but up to this point the app did save my payment information for speedy purchases. Thanks for addressing the items below quickly!

Login process is extremely laborious. Captcha takes over twenty seconds to complete. The app should keep the user logged in and should allow for credentials to be saved so users can login with Face ID. Should also enable Apple Pay to make checkout more streamlined.

  • 👎👎👎👎😞😞

Since you pay for the ready before you get to this restaurant they don’t care about the quality of what you’re getting, granted it could be my particular raising Cane‘s #55 in Baton Rouge, LA. Granted I was late picking it up about 40 minutes, but they did not call me to see if my time was changed, they had it all packed up and sitting on the counter when I got there. So all the food is cold and not good. All because of the app and me paying before hand. Got the answer from the developers keeping my app open doesn’t make a bit of difference in the order of $140 + I placed. Cold food because it was paid for in advance. Raising Canes doesn’t lose anything if it’s cold or not, except a customer that will never order from them again the store doesn’t care and has done this before with missing items ordered on past orders. The app makes it worse so this store has their money and you don’t realize anything is wrong until it’s to late 👎👎👎👎

  • Full of Bugs

I wanted to love this app. I got an email saying I could link my caniac card to the app which would be super convenient considering I don’t go to canes everyday so I don’t always have my caniac card. Well, upon downloading this app, it won’t let me log into my account. It’s saying my email and password combo are not valid but that’s obviously a lie because I can log into my account online/safari. Ridiculous if you ask me because the whole point of me downloading this app was to be able to show my caniac card via app and I can’t even log into my VALID account on the app. I would give this app zero stars if I could.

  • This app is an exercise in frustration

Can’t get past the log in screen before it starts me all over on the log in screen. They said it was a new app, so I deleted the app and tried again. No luck. Just as bad as always. I’ve never been able to successfully order through the app. As much as we love Cane’s, we go elsewhere because this app is impossible to use.

  • Love the food hate the app

App needs help. Needs to be able to save passwords in app or for iPhones with face recognition. Also needs an “I’m here” button for some people who don’t connect to the store when they get close. It’s hard to deal with that when you do curbside. I have to walk inside and show them my order and pray I have everything. Don’t get me wrong the staff was amazing about getting my food fast and accurate but I like the curbside option because I have a 1 year old at home I’m trying to protect during the pandemic.

  • Review for online ordering

This is a review for ordering online. You cannot press “X” as it does nothing, and if you mess up you cant change it unless you start the entire order over. The buggiest app and website ive ever seen from a restaurant. Please hire actual developers to make this work because only half the buttons actually do anything, and because of this I had to start over multiple times. Also, there is no “Check out as guest” option like every other food ordering platform on the planet. You have to sit there and make an account. Once I saw this, I just closed the app and went somewhere else to eat. Too much jumping through hoops for a couple chicken fingers.

PS do not reply to me saying “Sorry this happened!!!1!!1!!1! Please call us at…..” No. I shouldnt have to call, that is what the reviews are FOR. Have upper management actually LOOK at these terrible reviews, nobody has time to call and complain. Its 2021. Get it together

  • One of the worst online ordering apps out there

The app is constantly logging me out randomly whenever I open it and demands I prove I'm human everytime with those annoyingly confusing capche. The geotracking isn't fun ethier with you having to be on the app during the whole ride over there for them to start making your food. If you don't they check you in right then and there so you might as well have just went inside to order instead of the convenience mobile ordering is suppose to give you. I've been an avid Cane's customer since I first ate here and with the quality of the chicken tenders going down as much as it has the mobile app should not be this bad.
