Imposing an awkward conceptual framework

It’s clear that the creators of the EQ app think that they have it all worked out when it comes to understanding emotions, but their framework really does not work for me. Checking in with my first emotion, I felt confused, but I had to choose the basic emotion of interest first, and then go to astonishment. astonishment was really not the way I was feeling. Then, all I could do was to measure that emotion on a 10 point scale, and I wasn’t thinking about how I was feeling on a 10 point scale. The entire framework of basic emotions is not based upon good science, and it does not seem emotionally sensitive to begin with so much promotion of the EQ framework instead of beginning by just listening to people, in terms of where they are coming from. It’s a very clumsy app and overall approach.

App Crashes

Can't use the app. It allowed me to sign up, select interests, but when it offers to start the first test, it crashes. I tried closing and re opening the app, tabbing in and out, nothing.

Current iOS, iPhone 8.

If there was a zero star….

App keeps crashing. Cant even get enough time to click around. Waste of money.

Money well spent

I really notice a difference in myself . It’s easy to listen and execute the exercises. Very helpful.

What’s wrong with your app?

Downloaded twice, app gets to the point of developing the plan then shuts down

A Tactic to Collect Personal Information

I subscribed and paid the yearly fee. The app offers several tests and exercises, but after you take the time to answer the questions, you are asked to provide your email and name to get the results. I should not have to do that with a paid subscription. It also constantly asks me to connect to other social media to share things I prefer to keep private. The English grammar is often incorrect and seems to be a translation from another language. The menu is very hard to navigate, no instructions and no way to create a plan or schedule for things to accomplish. No “help” or instructions on how to use it. It seems suspicious and I cancelled immediately.

Response from developer

Thank you very much for such a detailed review and your valuable feedback. We would like to say that all the information that you put in the app is not accessible to us and keeps your login and Facebook page completely private to you. If you prefer not to connect to other social media, is not an issue. Regarding the language mistakes, as we are a team from Ukraine we always strive to be better adapting our application to several languages, including English. We will 100% look at our texts to adapt it better for the native speakers, so thank you for bringing this problem up. Other features are in our roadmap for the application and we will take into consideration your suggestion to make it more "user friendly". Thank you for your feedback!

You really have to pay to be able to work out emotions?

I like the variety in emotions, but come on. This is ridiculously expensive

Response from developer

Thank you for your review! We will discuss your concern about pricing with our team
