  • So thankful

I struggle to keep my screen time down and I noticed that when my screen time is high, it has a detrimental impact on my mental health. I stumbled upon this app on Instagram and downloaded it straight away. The instructions to set up are very detailed and easy to follow. I appreciate that it’s free as well. Keep up the great work making apps that better us!

  • Life changing app

One of the few apps that has genuinely changed my life for the better. With all the recent updates to the pro version I highly reccomend it. My muscle memory constantly takes me to distracting apps but that’s no longer an issue with this app. Highly recommend it.
  • Great app, but one thing

The app is great, it’s well designed, has a lot of cool features, and could actually work really well for me. If I could get it to work. I apologise if this isn’t the apps fault, but everytime I try and run the apps intervention feature, I get a notification saying it failed to activate, its stressing me out trying to fix it, and the only thing I’ve found that fixes it is deleting and reinstalling the app, but I don’t want to do that every time there’s an error.

Altogether, great app, I’ve just got an annoying little bug.

  • Game Changer

I used to use Screentime but it wasn’t flexible enough for me. Then I used the feature in instagram that reminds you of your usage every 10 minutes but tap it away without realizing it. The full 6 seconds this app gives me and the deep breath I feel obligated to take really helps me reassess. My only complaint is that it’s a paid feature to ignore the popup if youre quickly switching apps. It gets annoying when I just need to quickly check something in another app and switch back and then my “attemps to open instagram” counter goes up and I have to wait. It’s especially annoying when I take a screenshot because it counts as leaving the app and my counter goes up and I have to wait to get back in. Thankfully I don’t mind because this is an app I would actually consider spending money on anyway.

  • What I was looking for, but has some issues

This app is great for those who have trouble with getting off the phone, those who want to stop scrolling. However, there’s some issues (or I think so) It suggests you to block the shortcuts app so you can’t disable automations easily, but you can turn off app blocking really easily in the app…it counteracts the purpose. When you link to structured app (task app) the app interventions stop working and only display your task that you need to do. And if you don’t have a task currently, there’s no interventions at all. Now when I change to random/all intervention. Now the interventions don’t work and all my automations are up and running.
So basically you can get it running fine but if you do certain actions in the app, it might make it stop working. From now on I won’t touch structured, and I won’t change intervention options.

  • It works, but

The app truly does help. Sometimes I’ll open social media and get mad for a second when One Sec opens but by the end of the breathing exercise I realize I actually don’t want to mindlessly scroll. The problem is this app seems to be hellbent on extorting money from you. I get apps cost money to create but you can’t even use One Sec on more than one app without paying a subscription- not just a one time fee, a subscription. Seems counterproductive to a mission to help people when you lock something so simple behind a paywall. I downloaded One Sec to block two specific apps that were draining my mental health and was forced to Sophie’s Choice my social media addiction which was …. not the proudest decision I’ve ever had to make. I’m not asking for every premium feature for free. I just want a few breathing exercises free, which is what I (apparently unreasonably) thought I would get when I downloaded One Sec.

  • DOWNLOAD NOW

this is by far the best app out there to decrease your screen time. The adjustable settings shocked me cus there were so many and so effective. I definitely recommend you buy the pro version, but even when i had the basic version it was still effective and moved me away from my pinterest addiction trust me u will not regret downloading this app. they even give an in depth tutorial on how to use it. i dont believe any person who says there is an app better than this one out there 😭

  • Better on the phone.

Not a lot of customizable options...
  • Developer out of his mind

The developer of this app has got to be out of their mind charging an insane price for this app. This is such a simple app, not using any backend server or any additional costly third-party services yet this app has a paid subscription, which costs an insane amount?? Like $20 a year?? How does that make any sense.

I don’t mind paying for apps either, I have a lot of paid apps, but this subscription price makes no sense to me. This app should be $20 for a lifetime purchase, not $20 per year. $5per year sounds reasonable given the scope of this app. And yes, I’m aware it’s free if you only use one app, but it’s not very useful when you have so many social media apps you want to use it on, basically warranting this app useless unless you subscribe.

It’s a cool app, nice idea, works well, but sadly this developer has completely lost his mind.

  • Life changing

What a great mindset changer this app has been. Thoroughly recommend. I honestly don’t know how I got anything done or had any time to think when I was constantly distracting myself with social media apps. I love that this doesn’t completely block it unless I want it to, but it reminds me to take a second and think about what I really want.
