  • Great App for Preventing Procrastination

This app has really helped with stopping me open apps especially when I’m working on something (using structured). I have noticed an increase in my productivity as well as a decrease in my tiredness. The adult content block is amazing especially as it can stop you unlocking it.

Sometimes I need to use apps that I would normally class as unproductive to complete a task. I would like the ability to unblock specific apps during specific structured tasks or block specific apps by color (similar to how it’s currently done with all apps)

I would like the ability to block all apps and whitelist only the ones I want.

  • So good it’s obsolete!

I needed a way to block social media apps for the very reason this app exists: habitual scrolling. But I can’t use my phone’s screen time features, because social media is the only way I have to contact some people and when I run out of time, notifications are blocked. I needed some way to block myself out of the app WITHOUT blocking notifications. I had searched the internet, but all I found was how to block notifications instead.

Until I found this app. This app was so useful that… I actually don’t even need it anymore. It taught me how to do what I wanted it to without needing to use the app. Yeah. Sorry, devs, but I actually already uninstalled the app because I don’t need it taking up space on my phone when I can just redirect my attention to a different app. But I will say, thank you for showing me how to redirect my attention to another app!

If anyone wants those breathing exercises, or the counter, or just doesn’t want to go through the trouble of finding an alternative, I absolutely recommend this app! If you just want to find a way to redirect your attention, well, for the sake of the developers I’ll tell you to at least give the app a download and learn it through the instructions.

  • Only content blocker that has ever worked for me.

The way this app, and it’s desktop and web versions, has improved my quality of life is impossible to understate. Ran it for one week on Facebook, and then immediately purchased the full version. I expected it to be one of those things that I stay on top of for a week or so, then fall off the bandwagon. 2 months in and I’m still going strong, and noticing that I don’t miss a thing.

$25? Pro is the biggest change the littlest amount of money has ever made in my life.

Previous content blockers, I’d uninstall, or work my way around. This is the only one that has effectively worked. I have never considered deleting it once. It does the complete opposite of all the social media, attention grabbing tactics, giving you the space to slow down and actually think.

I feel so much more in control of my own mind, so much happier. Thank you to the developer for helping me get that back. I highly recommend this app to anyone who struggles with distractions on their phone.

  • Cool, but…

My breathing exercise is apparently “medium” (6 seconds), but takes 14 before I can click through to open an app. Someone forgot to count?
  • Changed my life

Where do I even begin? This app brought a change to my life that was desperately needed. After struggling mentally for years and drowning myself in mindless scrolling my screen time was anywhere from 6-14 hours a day. I realised that I was spending almost half my life on something that I would only remember for a few minutes afterwards. It was taking time away from more meaningful things like family, study and hobbies that I actually enjoyed doing and brought something to look forward to each day.

Even though it has only been a couple days after downloading this app, it has taken my time on my phone to only 1-2 hours a day (which is mostly just keeping in touch with friends, family and school). I have had time to take up crocheting which I thoroughly enjoy and feel that I am able to concentrate more at university. My mental health has already improved, I feel more connected socially, and am being more productive than I ever have been. I find it amazing how just a quick 10 second break can make you question whether or not you really need to be on social media.

To the makers of this app; thank you. You have brought a change desperately needed in a time where so many people are detached from reality and have made my life so much more fulfilling in mere days. Everyone should download one sec!

  • Necessary for all procrastinators

This is genuinely the most helpful app I’ve found to help with my mindless app-switching throughout the day. Of course, there is nothing that will prevent it completely, but it has saved me a huge amount of time just by implementing something as straight forward as delayed app opening. I’ve had this app since its early days so I’m not restricted by number of apps I can add - some reviews are saying that the free version now only allows 1 app? But I’m not sure. I have 4 apps currently added and it works a charm. Just needs a little set up via Shortcuts but it’s worth it.

  • Works extremely well 💪

You can restrict any app or any website (not just “social media”). Uses a wholistic perspective to give multiple tips to reduce addictive app usage. Helps me to be more intentional with time. Love how the developer doesn’t collect sell/any of your data. Take the time to set it up for free with 1 app, try the free trial, you likely won’t regret it. Totally worth the annual subscription or one time purchase of a lifetime license. The developer is truly to trying to make the world a better place…if you’re facing economic hardship, they’ll give you a discount (or maybe even give for free?), they’re trying to make a living, not a killing.

  • Good idea in theory, but not in practice

As someone who uses social media a lot, & who constantly ignores screen time's blocks, I decided to give this app a try. Twice. I find it genuinely annoying. As soon as I get out of an app with a One Sec trigger set up after the accidental exit time frame has passed (which can't be customised by the user, & there's only 1 minute, 5 minute, & 10 minute options), access to the app temporarily is blocked by the One Sec pause. If I close the One Sec pause before going into the app that's caused the trigger, something that usually happens accidentally thanks to my shaky hands, the pause happens all over again. Overall, I think the app is well designed, but it's more of an annoyance rather than a help to me.

  • doesnt work?

i love this app on my phone and ipad, but on my macbook pro it doesnt seem to work. the app doesnt even open when clicked on! :(
  • Works well on ios but needs improvement on Desktop

Works well on ios, bit tedious to set up with shortcuts but works.

The desktop app currently is useless as opening it just gives a blank window with the word 'test' in the center.

The safari extension is useful but barebones, I would like the more extended options on mobile, such as providing suggestions for other activities to be available both in the safari extension and if it is not already available (don't know as currently broken) the desktop app as well.
