  • A really fun wholesome game

This game is for most age levels. Simon’s cats are true to life cute and trouble makers. You can skip the story and play just the game via a couple key strokes each turn. The game is matching and gently progresses in difficulty the longer you play it. You do have to play this actual matching game to earn a type of “token”. These tokens (not coins for spending or extending your turn) allow you to play the story mode updating your garden and interacting with neighbors. This game has a lot of personality. The music is repetitive but not annoying. I’m on level 81ish and I haven’t experienced any “glitches”. I got the App through Apple Arcade so there aren’t any pauses nor interruptions of advertisements. :^). Thanks for the entertainment!

  • I don't like match games

I find them boring and tedious. The only reason I download this one was because it was in the Arcade and thus had no in-app purchases. I was pleasantly surprised. It's something I play in spurts, not like a multi-hour Sims 4 gaming session. It's enjoyable and the sound effects are easy on the ears. The animals are cute and their animations are adorable. The facial expressions of the cat always make me smile. The main thing I like is that if I fail a level repeatedly, it gets easier and easier until I finish the level. There's no buying of gems or whatever to be able to finish a level. I'd say this is a match game for people who, like me, don't care for match games. Cheers to Apple and the developer for making this available in the Arcade.

  • Fun story and game

This is a fun game and a nice way to spend some time. The illustrations are very good and the story is engaging. The options for customizing the gardens are really cool, I hope it will be possible to make some wild areas in the future versus being all formal. I like the additional stories you can do now. There are good side games as well, to keep things interesting and earn coins or stars. The developers did a good job adding more variety to the daily Top Cat game, it was repeating often and they’ve added more layouts (thank you!). I love the cat path game Dawn Patrol. One thing I wish it didn’t have, and this is a super small detail, is characters clapping when a task or item is completed. This reminds me of a certain other gardening game which has a really creepy guy. Simon is much more wholesome and shouldn’t need that cheesy gimmick. UPDATE: I love the weekly throwback videos! And I love that some animals from the story stay visible in the gardens once the story is complete. I keep checking the trees for owls and the dens for other creatures, just in case you add any. :) ALSO, can you make an “endless” game where there’s no time limit, you just try to get the highest score for as long as you are willing to play? Would be so fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall the game is one of the brightest stars in Apple Arcade and something other developers should aspire to!

  • Not an honest match 3

I was looking for a match 3 game and this isn’t one. It is a click on 2 matching color boxes or more. Somehow the whole first week I played it must not have acknowledged my achievements because I went from barely any money or “tools” (arrows, bombs, rakes) to a whole mess of all of it. The game automatically enters you into Chloe’s lite lunch and pops up annoying and distracting message bubbles whenever you hit blue boxes. I didn’t partake of building the gardens with all the stars you get after each level; just wasn’t my thing. After level 900 the levels get definitely harder so that you are playing each level multiple times which takes the fun out of it. I found I was not enjoying playing it and have deleted the app. Only to find the only way to leave a review is to have the app installed. Uggg

  • Bad Development

I’ve been playing this for a long time. It’s a great game and it’s nice when devs actually listen to their players. There have been down times but still fun to play … and replay. ;) EDIT: Unfortunately, a bad problem has cropped up! ALL of the leaderboard events don’t advance. Top Cat? I always get the bottom level chest, even if I made a red or higher chest level. An “Anonymous” listing with the same amount as mine shows up above my name. Now, Kitten’s event says that I haven’t submitted a total, even when I have. I’ve deleted all saves, deleted the game, reinstalled it, restarted my iPad … still not working. Please fix this! I enjoy this game too much. Also, a red dot marking an update to be installed has been on the app icon for days and it’s not updating.

  • Update: can’t progress past lvl 6:9

Update: items and progress are still lost sometimes when reentering game, and now I can’t progress past lvl 6:9 because it says downloading 1/13’ then ‘unable to download’. My internet connection is fine and very fast. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times, deleted all my saved files and started over 5 times. This game is absolutely riddled with bugs. I give up. It’s unplayable and too frustrating. I love Simon’s Cat! It’s fun and cute, and all the extra puzzles and challenges keep it fresh and interesting. I also love the lack of ads, so I can just enjoy the game with no frustrating interruptions. This is my favourite app on my phone by far. The crashes have been fixed – thank you! – but the other bugs are still there which make the game quite frustrating. When switching to other apps (like to check messages), and often when closing and reopening the game, progress and items can be lost. It doesn’t happen every time, but often enough. I’ve lost all starts and all items multiple times. I’ve reinstalled and started several new games, but it keeps happening. I’m deleting the game now because I after many hours and accumulating a couple dozen each of the bonuses and items, today they’re gone again. It’s just too disheartening.

  • Add More Gardens

I really love this game. The puzzles are fun, there are daily competitions, and two additional side stories. I only wish there were additional levels and gardens to create in the main story. It looks like the story is meant to continue as there are undeveloped areas. When will additional garden levels be added?

Update: There are weekly challenges in the game. One of the challenges, Kitten Kaboodle, requires you to compete for a high score and at some point you have to submit your score or gain no points and drop a level. Occasionally during the game you reach a point where new levels have to be added and you’re pushed to play a different challenge. If you haven’t submitted your score, there’s no way to go back and submit it. This is beyond irritating. Please either give a warning that players are about to be pushed to a different challenge or allow players to go back and submit their score.

  • I love this game

Thank you for creating a fun and entertaining game. It Has passed hours of boredom. I would like to leave five stars, however there are some issues/bugs. First the screen does not always click where you want it to. I have to shake my phone as to almost reset the screen. Second, updates are way to slow. I am sitting with 284 stars and nothing to do with them. Three, the scoring leaves a lot to be desired. Especially when the two yarn balls collide. You get barley anything for it. I am on my 1096 game and I want more! I want to update this review and give it five stars. The garden was creative. How about more levels like that in lieu of the Statue which was really pointless. Thank you.

  • Freaking Addicting Match-3 Game with ZERO In-App Purchases!! :)

For me, this game is worth the Apple Arcade subscription all on its own. It’s fun, engaging, has all the events, challenges and rewards you want in a Match-3 with none of the In-App purchasing hoopla you always have to deal with in similar games. Plus it has great art graphics, cute characters, a fun story, and you get to decorate gardens. I have yet to find any bugs or annoyances and I’m on level 100 as of writing this. I’d recommend this game to anyone who loves puzzle games. But be warned…it IS very addicting! You might find yourself playing until the wee hours of the morning. Don’t say you weren’t warned! ;)

Note: The only thing (so far) that I would add to the game is the ability to personally name all the animals, and have those names added into the story. I’ve seen that kind of feature in other games and really liked it.
