  • Dawn Patrol removed; Midnight Feast worked on?

The game had a puzzle-type mode (Dawn Patrol) where you could just play levels at your leisure and attempt to get more stars (1-3) depending on how few moves you used. And get some rewards. Fun when you didn’t feel like playing the main game or Top Cat (leaderboard based versus mode). Now it’s been removed.

Midnight Feast is a mode you unlock when you clear all….I dunno, like 3000+ levels?…of the main mode. Apparently it wasn’t great but they have worked on it lately. Fine. But the audience for that mode are people who are long time players who play all the time. I play this game basically every day and am at about 1720.

I don’t know if these things are related but I’m annoyed that Dawn Patrol is gone.

Also the game doesn’t let you convert any of the currencies into coins which are the thing you need to continue a level and not lose progress (Ex: pursuing first time feeders). I have about 1100 stars and already unlocked the entire main story and would gladly trade some in for coins sometimes, for example. I am glad there are no in app purchases but they could rebalance some things to make certain goals a little easier.

Overall it’s a fun game with a casual commitment but I wish it was a little better balanced.

    Developer Response

  • Side games are buggy.

The game itself, and the various chaptered stories the developer has added in the last year or so are cute, and function as they should. The challenges that run with the story progression and the 3000 plus levels work as expected. However, the ‘Top Cat’ game is incredibly buggy, as it relies on Apple’s leaderboard system, which has well-known problems. Players are often shown the wrong reward icon for their high score, or receive a much lower reward even if they earn a spot in the top ten. Either the leaderboard system can’t keep up with the ‘battle royale’ structure of the Top Cat game, and players are shown an ‘old’ score rather than a current ranking because something gets ‘stuck’ on the back end, or the programming itself for this particular part of Apple’s leaderboard system is broken. Why bother playing for a gold chest when at best, you’ll get a reward two tiers down, even if the leaderboard says your rank is high enough for the top prize? After one runs out of regular game levels, Top Cat is the only way to earn enough coin to play Midnight Feast for long enough to accumulate treat pieces. This needs work, and per a Reddit thread detailing the problem, the solution has to come from Apple, not Tactile Games. They have no control over the leaderboard system.

  • Crashing on level 271

we truly enjoyed the game.. It became our family time tradition to play it together. Unfolding the story while earning stars in games is definitely addictive. Unfortunately out of the blue the game started crashing and we are unable to play anymore. Here is what happens: game starts and we get a daily bonus, as soon as we claim the reward game transitions yo Simon and his garden and immediately after that it crashes. It seems if we start plying new game its all good… but 270 levels lost is not something we can start over from..We have tried reinstalling, installing it on different device.. same thing happens over and over! Developers please help!!!

  • Lovely game.

These types of games are usually a huge disappointment but I wanted to try this one because it was in the Apple Arcade. I really don’t want to type a huge thing so I am just going to talk about the major points. First of all, I really like how this game isn't pay-to-win. You always have an to option automatically beat the level once a day. So if you are stuck on a level you can use it. Okay, the story is so cute and you don't have to do annoying things like “take out the trash” or “get some water.” The most you have to do is “feed the cat” and things like that only cost one star. (Most cost two-three stars.) Okay that was my review! Please download this game!

  • Love the game, but I have a question…

I really love playing Simon’s cat story time, because I love animals, and I love it’s dramatic plot twists, but I have one question, why is Jazz not part of the story, Right now I’m on day 15 and it never mentions Jazz yet, he’s a fluffy cat who’s Cat’s nemesis and he does not like sharing and likes being spoiled, you might’ve seen him on one of the videos called “Simon’s Cat (Full Color) Cat Fight” I’m not saying its a bad thing that Jazz is not part of the story, I was just curious about why he’s not in the story, and because I’m only in day 15, he’s probably going to be showed in the story later.

  • My family loves Simon Story Time

My kids and I love Simons Cat Story Time. Only a couple things I would like to point out that I see other users have already pointed out. I’m in the late 100 levels and it’s getting harder, which is total fine, but it takes multiple tries just to beat a round and the reward is only 1 star. Either make each new part in the story ‘1 star’ or give more then 1 star! That takes the fun out of it 🥹 I just started recently playing and I can play all day but please adjust this. I’m also get frustrated with the limited moves in the board. Please give us more moves or eliminate that feature

  • Simon’s Cat

I enjoy this much better than a lot of other games of this type. It has Cat, and that lends it a sort of cofort. Not as frustrating because there are no ads, and because it’s inculded in arcade, no cash grabbing. Everything can be done with coins, which are easy to come by. The story is cute, and enjoyable as well. Like an interactive Simon’s Cat film. Penny is annoying, but you can’t win em all.

There are some buggy glitches from time to time, but that could be because my tablet’s getting old.

  • REALLY FUN GAME!! Addictive Brain work out!

My favorite game is ending & won't be available anymore (Meow Match). I'm really glad I stumbled upon this game. There are many similarities between the two but also many differences. I love the botany, combined with the cats, the restoration of things, & the humor. I've become quite addicted to this & would suggest this game to anyone who likes cats & gardening. Plus, there are so many extra games in this game & that makes it even funner. My only complaint is that I cannot access the garden gnomes. I can see them but it wont let me choose it. Don't know if the case would be different when playing it on my iphone...have to try that.

  • Kitten Kaboodle has a wobbly bucket bug!!

The latest “Kitten Kaboodle” has a bug. If the game has paint buckets then as soon as a bucket (any bucket) is hit it begins to wobble and turn BLUE, regardless of the color it had been. Everything just freezes while the bucket wobbles until I close the entire app. It never clears on its own. Tapping in various places to try to find a way to reset it is futile. Bucket just wobbles as long as the game stays open. Please fix. I’ve powered my iPad completely off and then on again multiple times over and over. My iPad’s iOS is up to date. All my apps are up to date, too. Please help! I want to play it - as it’s my fave. I love this game. Thank you.

  • Good story, balanced

I’m still making my way through the story but I’m really enjoying this game. I feel like the levels challenge me (400+ levels in) but they’re not impossible. I don’t stay stuck on a level for ages. Coins and boosters are easy to get for the harder levels.

My one complaint is story-wise it frustrates me how I’m the later chapters (just started 16) the other characters (heather and Potts mostly) rag on Simon about how he hasn’t done anything but sit around on benches. I get that they’re joking but feels less like a joke after it’s been repeated multiple times. And Simon has done plenty of work on the gardens when none of them have been around and with them. He’s carried this whole project. Give him a break.
