It’s got everything you could need
Struggling for the next rhythm for the next line. Boom! Rhyming dictionary with a simple double tap.
I have four other writing apps (not including notes app) and I never touch them. This app alone with that record feature has turned all of those into wasted money I just keep them for the old works on them. I’ve had it about a year now, so this ain’t some “new app hype”. I got one of those pop up feedback things in the app and felt I owed it the developer and world at large to speak for this apps greatness!

Pretty good, hope developer keeps improving
"Sections" writing mode is great for song structure verse, pre-chorus, chorus, etc.
Rearranging sentences or sections by drag drop is fast.
Custom folder structure with sorting options for saving things in an orderly manner is good.
No data collected by developer is fantastic.
Intergration with OS functions for select text, cut, copy and especially OS look-up is great.
Suggested improvements:
1. Ability to export audio
2. Extend the search function to words within songs, not just song names.
3. Create an ideas library, where sentence ideas can be stored as a group, with select and use functionality. Currently have to great a fake song to dump ideas to create a song line library.
4. Improve sync across devices if possible, currently have to wait a while for audio additons or deletions to appear across devices. For example working on Mac but using iPhone as audio recorder, the availability to the Mac takes a while. Don't get me wrong it's still useable, but could be faster.
All in all, this app is a keeper.

Hi! This app is for writing lyrics and recording melodies for the lyrics using your device’s microphone. There is not a way to add beats at this time. Perhaps that feature could be added down the line as the app evolves. Thank you for the feedback!

Thanks for the great review and great suggestion! The Lyrics App already does have iCloud sync, but a recently deleted folder is a great idea! I’ll be working on that soon.

Hey, thanks for the great review! 🙏🏼 You record melodies using the record button next to your lyrics, which enables the microphone of your device. From there you can sing your melody, play it from an instrument, etc. Hope that helps! Perhaps sometime down the line a beat maker type of interface can be introduced like you suggested.

Hey! Thanks for the kind review. There are actually two writing modes. One is Line x Line and one is Sections. When writing in Sections, you can write as many lines of lyrics as you want in one section and record the melody for all of those lines at once. You can change the writing mode while writing a song or from the settings of the app.
