  • It's Tetris - what else do you want?

We play on a base M1 Mac Mini and Apple TV with Xbox One controllers. The precision seems great using the D-pad (up/down/left/right). They recently added keyboard control config.

Normally we are into the classic marathon mode but the others are fun at times too. Thanks for the ongoing updates and tweaks!

  • Doesn’t turn the blocks correctly

If it worked better Id rate it better. Often it doesn’t turn the figures when needed. Poor execution of features.
  • Poorly done

Played the game once, probably wont play it again. The function keys are confusing and there's very bright eye hurting lights at times I guess you were doing well. The drop and tap games are boring and its hard to stay on beat. The marathon game doesn't even need music and it when moving left and right it seemed to move slightly too slow so I was placing them in the wrong spots.

  • 👍

Great game. Some of the graphics like the level ups cover up too much of the game play
  • Poor keyboard experience

They don't have the initial delay and move repeat timings set properly for keyboard making it just a frustrating experience
  • Such a very good game!

I like this way better than Tetris 99 because the graphics are so much better than Tetris 99. Thanks Apple and the Tetris Company!
  • Much improved since launch, still some suggestions

When this game first came out, it was kind of a mess. I finally redownloaded it again today because the concept clearly has potential. I am pleasantly surprised to see that the biggest issues are fixed, and it now feels like a game I’ll put some hours into. I still have a couple of issues with the game, but they’re minor:

    · It’s unclear what the three audio calibration options do, and which of them to select. A much better way to handle the audio calibration would be to implement a calibration “test” system - see Guitar Hero or Spin Rhythm’s audio lag calibration menus.

    · Navigating the menu system feels very clunky with a controller. Specifically, trying to scroll down the list of songs with my Xbox controller, only the d-pad works, and you can’t hold “up” or “down” to scroll faster. Add joystick support or a way to scroll faster. Also, certain menu options are inaccessible with a controller. Again in the song list, I am unable to change the sorting option without touching the screen.

    · Certain game settings aren’t accessible from the settings tab in the main menu. You must have started playing a song, then pause, then select settings to see these options.

All in all, the core gameplay feels good, and that’s what matters. I hope my feedback helps.

    Developer Response

We appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback. Improvements to gamepad are coming in the next update later this week
  • It’s 4star

It’s 4star because it just get complicated but if I was better at puzzles this would be the app. I love the different modes in it though. It’s not just classic it all of them
  • Not like the Tetris I remember

This game on the Mac is irritating as can be. Even though I know how to play the game, it will not let me skip intros with their confusing function key directions. The controller option also does not seem to work. Definitely not fun nor player friendly. Spent more time trying to skill the nonsense and play. Would not reccomend.

  • Amazing

This game is exactly what I needed for this time in my life. Video games have always been important to me and not being able to have my consoles or have a foothold on my life, this game is keeping me at least somewhat busy. The only thing I wish with all my heart is that it was made to be played offline permanently. It worked before and now it doesn’t. I don’t have data on my phone right now and if I could have at least this one thing I’d believe in my wishes again.
