Why???
This app is all over the place. I like the integration of the US market and announcements into the app. That’s good. But the look of the app is horrific. The homepage doesn’t show overall portfolio balance except at the very bottom of the page any more, you can’t even drag the bar over the graph to see your daily performance in $ through the day now either (good luck doing the math while scrolling up and down from the bottom). There is dead white space everywhere, you can’t see everything without scrolling in both directions and everything is too widely spaced. Grand totals has info in only 2 columns but you have to SCROLL through empty columns to the right to see it?? Why?? I like that there’s a seperate refresh for the market depth, but when you press refresh price it pushes you back off the tab to Stock Details. I mean hell, even the time scale on the main page is ridiculous. 10:10, 11:33, 12:56… who did this??? Edit for some more; needs a dark mode, watch lists are now completely useless if you can’t scroll through them all now got to click into each one to get details. Why are info buttons taking up so much room like that’s great for beginners but I’d rather see my data than a button for referrals and info about market delay. Theres no refresh on the Portfolio screen??? Sorting of portfolio gets reset on every open/close! What is going on.

Not a fan unfortunately
I’ve used Selfwealth for several years now and I was hoping this app would solve some of my frustrations - too clunky, when there is news or ASX release I get no notifications (email / app notification), the stock reports are very basic and lack substance etc.
Currently I use a combination of subscription services for brokers reports, i.e. Bell Potter’s The Coppo Report. I am a Selfwealth premium member already but I don’t think much value has been added with the new app and features.
What I really hoped for was a minimal CBA style app. I just don’t know that I need to see a graph as soon as I open the app. My advice to the developers is to keep things minimalistic and clean on the eyes. Everything else is just noise.

Improved functions, much worse UI
I loved the old app. Fast, legible, could see the overall portfolio value, super-easy to switch between portfolios. But obviously needing a new back-end to get the US$ trading in etc
But in my opinion, the user experience is much worse.
Unintuitive navigation.
No instant Face ID unlock (have to choose Face ID by tapping the icon every time.
No ‘at a glance’ total portfolio value on the dashboard (have to tap to reveal another screen to find it).
Requires rummaging around to switch portfolios.
Text in places is tiny (why are the number so small?).
Did they not consult users when they developed this app? I’m sticking with the old one until they shut it down... or make drastic improvements.
I have sent feedback via email, but no reply, so it’s down to a public review. Sorry nice people at Self Wealth, you run a great service, but you should seriously fire the people who developed this app for you and revise the user interface asap.
