Firstly, this game is truly wonderful. A very clever twist on the Tri-Peaks Solitaire genre. Beautiful graphics, engaging story line, great characters. It’s almost a total pleasure to play. For me, the three things which let it down are: a painful energy system. You can probably get 4-5 games before your energy runs out. It would be so much better to have live. Whilst you can upgrade your energy capacity that brings me to my second point - be prepared for a lot of grind. And I mean a LOT. Whether it’s progressing to the next level, farming for ingredients to improve health, life, energy and spells, trying to earn enough money to pay for all those upgrades, progress feels very very slow. There’s a lot to do with very little playtime available to you. And finally, there’s an insistence upon signing up friends to play the game. I get the reasoning behind it, but there are some of us who just don’t have friends that would want to play this type of game. It feels belligerent and heckling after the 40th time of being told to sign your friends up.
Caveats aside, I would highly recommend this game. And if some tweaks could be made to the problems above, this would be very special game indeed.Show lessRav3nswood

It’s like they want us NOT to play the game!
All in all, this is a good game. I could see myself playing this often. Great graphics, great characters, love that this game is different than a lot of of the games out there. That being said, the energy that you need to spend to play the game is a MAJOR issue. You cannot play the game for more than 20 or 30 minutes at a time without being REQUIRED to pay to keep on playing. I do not mind spending money of my own free will to play a game, but I will not EVER spend money on a game when I am required to do it to keep playing. It’s almost like they want us NOT to play the game! You would think a newer game would want to draw players in, rather than have them close the game because they cannot play anymore. Hence, the one star rating, for playability (or lack thereof). A game who’s playability is that restricted honestly has no business even being released. The developers need to fix this issue ASAP, as I’m sure that most of the players out there agree that to be required to pay to play is unacceptable! If this issue ever gets fixed, I will gladly increase my rating.Show lesswontoetyouleavebadreview

I love this game and would love to play it more but it immediately does a money grab. Then it wants you to recruit players for them for unlimited energy. Okay, so I send my friend an invite, they’ve never played before they used my link to download, and yet no reward? He continued to play through the tutorial, onto level 4 so far and yet nothing on my end. They show in my friends list now and still have not received the promised energy. Reached out to support via social media & through support and heard nothing back. I’d love to leave a more positive review but at this time that’s just not possible.Show lesssammmmmb

I really really liked this game until recently. I started playing a few weeks ago & couldn’t put it down. Unfortunately now I’m up to higher levels the game has become ridiculous. The cost to upgrade spells is now 50,000 coins, bare in mind there are over 50 spells to upgrade. In order to make coins you need to fight battles, battles you can’t win because you can’t afford to upgrade your spells. The cost of buying coins with real money is extortionate so for me not an option. I feel like I’m wasting time now going in circles trying to earn coins for upgrades but constantly losing battles. I’m honestly gutted because this game has the potential to be perfect but as is always the case, greed of the developers has spoilt it. I will continue to play but I know eventually frustration will lead to me deleting the game, such a shame.
Also don’t bother inviting friends, I didn’t get the referral reward promised & you get a measly 100 coins a day from added friends. Absolutely pointless.Show lessMellyBean75

Some Challenges also give out Gold as rewards. You also have a chance to get some free Gold in Daily Deals. If 3-Star battles are too challenging, try your hand at 2-Star battles! You have a greater chance at victory and will still earn Magic Cards to upgrade your spells! You’ll be on your way to becoming a powerful wizard in no time. First of all I want to say that this is a great game, with great graphics, and is very enjoyable, BUT, it gets expensive very quickly. After 5 rounds of play, you are out of energy, even if you win every round. And it refills very slowly. So I usually play my 5 rounds, upgrade what I can, and move on to another game, only returning several hours later, to continue. I find the prices quite steep, and there aren’t any “daily deals” or “incentives” that are reasonably priced. No option to buy the game either. I would rather pay a higher price once than pay continuously. I know that the creators need to make a living, but after all this is just a game to pass time, not a program necessary for my livelihood.Show lessJCazakoff
