Amazing!!

I am obsessed!! I used to use Duolingo all the time but it eventually became very repetitive and it wasn’t as fun anymore. This game though it’s continuously fun as there is so much to do. You can either work on your farm and play with you Naalas to practice your chosen language, or decorate your farm and build relationships with the locals. On the flip side, I love how they turned learning a language into a RPG battle, where the cards you use practices the language you’re learning. You have to be fast and really test what you’ve learned in order to move forward in the battle, all while leveling up your character.

Over all I really love this game. It’s been the only app that I find I am able to replace with doom scrolling on social media. The only recommendation I have for this game is more practice of dialogues with farm workers rather than just most flash cards and words to memorize.

Love it but needs some changes

Two things, first thing; when I first started the adventure route it said I could leave and go back to camp and everything would save but when I go to do so it asks if I’m sure and that nothing will save. The second thing: fighting in the adventure route. The fighting itself isn’t the problem it’s when you go and pick a card it will either give true/false, multiple choice or you have to spell the word. For my personal preference I dislike the spelling because I can’t remember how to spell any of the words so if we could turn off the spelling in settings that would be great so the people who do enjoy the spelling, can leave it and the others who don’t like it can turn it off

Apart from all I said up there, I absolutely love it, from the farming to the adventure to the monsters, etc. if I had to recommend a language learning app I’d recommend this

Bonjour! 👋

Hi! I’m currently learning French with this app and so far it has helped me a lot! I love the entire concept of this game! I love the farmstead and the adventure a lot! It is so fun but I have a couple suggestions. 1# Please add an accent helper. 2# Please make it so you can keep learning endlessly throughout the day. What I mean is you get 30 energy starting out each day and once you run out you can watch some ads for more energy for a while but eventually you run out of ads for the day. I don’t like this because I want to keep learning and doing the adventure, I know you can go to practice mode for more but that isn’t as fun or engaging. So please make it so you can keep watching ads for energy. :) 3# I would LOVE if you could have a little house! It could be a cozy little place where you can hang out with your naala. You could also decorate it and people could visit your house and chat with you! (Like maybe guild members) 4# I would love if you could add a feature where before you incubate your naala eggs you can see what they will look like, depending on the charms you put in. I want this because I bought a set of matching charms from Elijah and the naala looked gross and I would like to not make that mistake again. It would also help with things you do for Rosalie. Thanks for reading! I hope this was helpful and you consider my suggestions. Thanks for an amazing game! Au revoir! 👋

Best Language Learning App

This is hands down my favorite language learning app, and I’ve tried several. It’s gaming while learning and actually really fun game play that makes you want to learn a new language. They also offer European Portuguese which most language apps do not (usually only Brazilian Portuguese). After using this app for a few weeks I think I finally grasp verb conjugation which I’ve always struggled with other apps.

But there are a few cons. It’s a newer app with currently only one chapter and the farmland game only goes to level 25. I reached that in just a few weeks. There are still things to do in the game but you no longer level up until they release Chapter 2. There are also quite a number of mistakes I’m noticing. I have a friend fluent in Portuguese and I’ll send him the words and phrases that seem wrong to me and he send the corrected words which I then flag to the company. But it is a bit concerning how many mistakes are in the game. I’m sure that’ll get better as it develops further along and users submit feedback.

Still, I love it and play it every day and am learning Portuguese much faster in just a few weeks than I did in two years using other apps.

Really fun language game

I just started, so I’ll have to check in later and let you guys know how it’s going— but so far I really adore this game. I’ve been wanting to practice my language skills and while my friends were challenging each other to duo lingo matches, I wasn’t feeling very motivated. I chanced upon this app, and liked its similarity to games like harvest moon and star dew valley. And I think this game does a good job of capturing that genre. The farm animals are adorable and can encourage practicing skills. (Their energy is fueled by the memory games, and you need that to provide milk for the farm, but if you take too much their energy gets drained and these cute lil lama things get sad, so your encouraged to play more games to boot their energy)
Anyway the games a super cute idea and I hope to see it gain traction and grow.

It’s fun!

After a bad TBI, learning a new language has become even more difficult for me than it was before. However, I have wanted to learn more languages for a long time and when I saw the ad I thought I’d give it a try. So far I really enjoy the app! Not only are the lessons clear and have a good amount of repetition to help learn
the language better, it’s also engaging to play as well! With quests and taking care of the cute animals I find myself actually wanting to go into the app and learn while other language apps have been boring to me and I don’t keep up with them. Definitely recommend trying it out if you want to learn a new language!

App is fun but extremely limited

I enjoy the gamified approach to language learning and the interface is very cute, but the free version is extremely limited. You can only do a couple lessons a day before you run out of energy, and once you hit that pay wall all game play essentially ceases, and you won’t replenish energy until the next day. You can watch ads to get more energy but these are capped to two per day and do not have a timer to replenish the way most games do so you just have to wait until the next day to do more lessons and continue the game play. There are no other ways to replenish energy to continue playing and learning so the app becomes useless after about fifteen minutes every day. So you can’t binge game the way my RPG gamer heart desires, nor can you make any real language learning progress in a day. It would be fun if you’re willing to pay for yet another subscription, but with so many language learning apps out there, this would be a much more competitive option with a larger ad cap or other in game ways to replenish energy.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear you're unsatisfied with the free experience despite otherwise enjoying the app. Free users can do up to 100 flashcards per day in farm/adventure mode and unlimited practise in training mode, which we feel is enough to make some progress in your language each day. But for those like yourself who want to binge the game in its fullest, it's true you would need a premium membership. Memberships allow us to keep the app free-for-most while continuing to develop the app and add new content for everyone. Unfortunately ads alone are unsustainable for even a very small indie company like ours, so there's a limit to how generous the free tier can be. But our target is for even free users to be able to practise enough to make meaningful progress in their language each day, so we're continually experimenting with the exact amount of energy free users get. We'll take this feedback into consideration and in the meantime hope you'll either stick with us on the free tier despite the limits or consider supporting us with a membership. Happy learning!

Amazing for Game Play and Language Learning

If you are trying to learn a new language and are into playing games, this app is great! It combines farming games with deck building battle games. The games are lightly connected to each other in the storyline but if one doesn’t appeal to you, you only have to play one to progress in the language learning part.

I was very excited to see that the game offers European Portuguese because most language apps only offer Brazilian Portuguese. The info cards explain the difference between the two dialects showing that the language you’re learning really is European Portuguese. I have tried using several language apps and usually struggle with basics like conjugating verbs, but I actually feel like I’m getting the hang of them with this app. I do wish they had more info cards to explain sentence structures, but otherwise it’s pretty easy to figure out. Having to spell out words and phrases is helping me learn faster, even though that’s the most frustrating part of the game.

All in all I am very impressed with both the game play and language learning. This would be a game I’d enjoy even without the language learning thrown in, that just makes it even better. I’ve already convinced my husband and 11 year old son to start playing and learning. They enjoy it, as well. Highly recommend and the lifetime subscription is well priced!

I couldn’t put it down

I literally just played the game for two hours. I feel like i learned a ton even though it’s not constantly shoving “learning” down your throat. I think i learned words and phrases as well as sentence structure (japanese) significantly faster and maybe easier than duolingo and price wise it’s about the same unless you buy the “for life” package deal - that’s save a ton tbh. Giving it a three month trial run but heavily considering that deal. A ton of fun! Just wish you could get income easier - even though i’m doing a ton of farm orders which is quite repetitive due to having to practice with your naala’s multiple times to get their energy up to continue working - it’s taking a long time to expand the farm, which isn’t entirely bad but just a thought. Would def recommend over duolingo…! (If your desired language is available)
