Prescription Refills and Tracking

With today update, supposedly we should be able to do refills and do tracking. I updated the VA app but I donโ€™t see this functionality. Deleted the app and reinstalled it but nothing. Besides that I love this app.

Checked the app today and the refills and tracking functionality is working great. Now if we can check our medical records this app will be amazing. Great job developers.

Like the app more than the desktop, which has some browser compatibility problems.

The app is easy to use and navigate around easily updates my calendar, and has an overall cleaner look and feel. Definitely plan on using the app as my default portal to the VA going forward.

Confidence

I am 100% disabled. After diligent difficulty proving that the evidence provided was within the mental and physical regulation of 100% rating level had had been met. My total care has been provided by the VA, before, during and after the service-connected, line of duty Jeep accident (1976).
I hate to think what would have happened to me without the VA support.

Pain and medication

Seems like VA doesnโ€™t want people taking any pain medication unless itโ€™s in the hospital and everything is great. They discharge you and tell you that a lot of meds like Clozapine. I was told by my primary care doctor. He said I canโ€™t get both pain meds and pain attack medication. I was told to choose one. I had a total pain attack 28 September 2022 at VA during appointment.

My condition for my pain attack with acrophobia diagnosis in 1997. I been on meds for a long time. Now I am trying to make appointment with psychiatrist because I need this medication. I read the article about vets and suicide. I am not suicidal and I have taken both medications for the last 4 years when I was on pain management. Itโ€™s monthly and random drug test. I have researched and I know my meds and if you take as prescribed I donโ€™t see a problem. I believe VA wants to do the right thing. I am very happy with VA. I am learning but I think you are pretty awesome

Need more details

I think the most challenging thing behind this app is Veterans wants to know where their claim is in the process. This app only shows five stages of where the claim could be. There are also no details of what is actually the progress. I know itโ€™s hard to guess when things will be accomplished but if you could see more progress throughout the app, I think it would be less frustrating. Sometimes it will sit in the same stage for months, and in some cases years. Obviously things are going through a process over that time, but the veteran does not see that only that it is in a stage or an extremely long period of time. A more detailed explanation of the stage process at the claim is going to would be extremely helpful.

VA Support to Vets - Applaudable Via the App

Iโ€™m a vet with health issues, but none of them labeled disabling. These issues are under the VAโ€™s care. The care Iโ€™ve received over the last nearly two years has been awesome! One comment about the VA and it being a government agency is you should sometimes expect a wait for non-critical service/care.

1970โ€™s Veteran Disability claim service in Thailand and Korea, during the height of Agent Orange.

Having every Disablity effect that is listed for Agent Orange exposure including a heart attack with a triple bypass , diabetes , erectile
dysfunctionancy , just to list a few life changing affects that forced the retirement due to exposure in the 70โ€™s of Agent Orange and who knows what else after getting a draft notice. All documentation is there and provided. Yet l itโ€™s been a year and three months with a few Generic notes which I conclude are considered communication. Yet projected to be a year and seven months before the first lower ranking is decided , then months of lowball Communication through the VA website negotiations for lack of a better word . This is ridiculous way to support the front line
protectors of the United States and her citizens. If the VA waits long enough the Vets requesting disability ranking and payment will be dead before decision is made.

Awesome job

Everyday is such a struggle for my family and myself, but this app takes a lot of stress, worry, and feelings of loss and confusion at bay.

I, myself, am so appreciative that I can not only access my records, but speak with ANYONE I need to speak with to get the help I need. I can see my test results and X-rays without having to just wait and except what the doctor says, as well as get any letters I need for whatever reason.

I canโ€™t tell you how grateful I am (as a 100% disabled veteran) for whoever developed this app giving us, the veteran, as well as our family more access to our healthcare. This app plays a huge role (I believe) in our being able to calm down and take an active role in keeping ourselves vibrate and healthy as much as is possible.

To say thank you seems so contrite, yet sadly I have no other words to give. So thank you from the depths of my heart. It really means so very much to us all.

Navigation

It seems difficult to navigate to the information I am trying to seek. Also, much of the information is very general. I am a big fan of the VA and I have been treated very well. More time and money should be spent to bring sites like these into the 21st Century. I state this because near all of the areas state to call if more information is needed. Everything should be at my finger tips. This would allow the fine people on staff to devote more time at the VA Hospitals and clinics.

Whoever made this app, give them a raise!

This app is amazing. Not at all what I expected from the VA. Instead of logging in via computer I can do everything from the apps from claims, to pharmacy, to personal messages to and from my doctor.
I mean this without sarcasm, but finally, you can see the system is attempting to work for vets and is doing a great job at it.
