Was looking forward to trying the game out
Downloaded and couldnt even connect to the servers. Are there servers to connected to. 0 star if it was possible
Full of surprises.
I didn’t know what to expect from this game…the generic title threw me a little but the art style got me to push download.
I’m not much for RTS where you build and manage resources, make a couple tanks, fart in your game chair while you eat chips and drink Mountain Dew (yawn) and I thought that was the direction this was headed.
I was hella surprised to find a refreshing combo of RTS, tower defense, and survivor.io game types with a sprinkle of RPG with a sidecar of whiskey.
So far very enjoyable! The art style i mentioned earlier is cartoonish but not cheesy and the sound design (something only the new DOOM game really excels at lately) is thoughtful in spots where it could have been annoying had some different choices been made.
The one thing I have found to be troublesome is the resolution of the field-of-view for the various characters. The baddies seem to always be outside the range of the characters shooting at them to the left or to the right and the sniper could be less accurate up close in trade for a little more map coverage.
I’m Still pretty early in the game but felt the game deserved a review even though I almost never post one.
So except for the looming potential for the game to lean too far into the “pay-to-win” mechanic (i have no problem paying for good games, just rather pay upfront) I have to say
Thank you to devs for the surprise! Hopefully you guys continue to support the game with new content and such, you’ve got a fan in me.
